Agree “armchair” don’t want to name drop but I knew Richard Wright back in the day and had a few conversations about the massive importance of confidence and mentality of a keeper. He had to fight very hard mentally after his England caps that didn’t end well for him. That said I think the crowd were always on his side. That helps. From what I’ve heard from friends at games,given Murics performances, the crowd were pretty lenient with him. Think Andy Marshall!! and the north stand destroying him and you know how vitriolic a crowd can be to one of their own team. I personally was pretty disgusted at the behaviour towards Marshall. Being an ex canary seemed the main reason for the level of poison. He never recovered. I hope Muric can. But not in a town shirt. I think that’s pretty obvious tbh. |

Perhaps someone could count the number of errors that have led directly to goals. I’m thinking it’s about 8 or 9 out of the 16 scored against us. That has to stop. From the off you could see Everton staying man to man, pressing high waiting for an individual lapse or just general panic to set in. I live in Thailand and watch every game Live. The pen was not clear and obvious (so many angles seen), refs decision should have stood. Same as if he hadn’t given it. Game could have been different at 1-1 but that wouldn’t mask the errors game after game now. Tuanzebe's clearly a huge miss, I worry that Hutchinson is too lightweight for this division and needs to go to the gym :) and someone PLEASE! get Clarke a pair shorts that fit ;) |

I’d be interested to see exactly how many goals have been nicked by teams playing out from the back this season. I’m pretty sure it’s loads.
Muric had a shocker yesterday. And a lack of confidence in him spread to the rest. Especially in that 5 min period before HT.
Even the likes of top 4 will occasionally know they’re under pressure with half time approaching - they hoof it.
1-1 and a re-set in dressing room? for me the second half might look very different.
Let’s hope KM can get that message across.

All you need to know about Ipswich and Norwich can be learnt by taking ten steps outside their train stations
In one you emerge into a vibrant atmosphere which helps to give a spring in your step...
In the other you take a look around and think "oh my god what a total dosshouse..." where ironically the only sense of any real kind of 'community' is our stadium in the distance..
Our town is like our team. Gone to hell in a handcart..
Sad but true nonetheless...

So why the hell have we got yet another player who wont be here next season??..
what arent we preparing for league one so we hit the ground running in August? and have best chance of bouncing straight back up..
Surely that has to be done with youth..we have them...lets play them and get them up and running for August.
This is all short term fantasy that we MIGHT escape..it ain't gonna happen..
Will someone at PR please get real ffs! we are going down and all these journeymen will be gone in May. Leaving us to to start over in August playing already settled and established League 1 sides.
If anyone thinks league 1 will be a doddle then they are sorely mistaken. I watch a lot of national league football (mostly Orient) and can tell you the quality at even that level is better than some of the dross served up this season in the championship!
I do think Lambert is the man for us. But he's doing one thing the same as Hurst - Too many new faces at the same time. Difference? - its way too late now to make a difference and these ones won't be here come May.
Start to build something with solidity, with some foundations...not another house of cards that needs to be re-built again in May/June/July. |

With one important subject matter that is rarely discussed. The fact the town, not just the club, is dying on its backside..
I guess football plays its part (it can raise a towns spirits and economy) but years of shortsided planning decisions etc has ruined the town.
Its so sad. Ipswich is actually a truly historic place with some beautiful buildings and situated in an equally beautiful part of the country. It shouldn't be the wasteland it is now.
I challenge anybody walking out of Ipswich station not to think.. "jeez what a dump!"
