 | News Comment | McKenna: Broja Discussions Ongoing at 12:58:42
In Mckenna we trust. he would not be pursuing the deal if he was not worth it. The majority of our signings are from the championship whereas this guy has regular premiership experience and has been at chelsea a long time so care is being taken . |

First choice- Broja, He needs to play , the money he is plenty good enough . Let’s hope something can be brokered to finalise this deal. Agree I Ogbene would be good but Delap can’t be relied on for a whole season and Al- Hamadi needs a loan spell. |

This deal does make sense. With three injuries to regulars , a replacement potentially to cover all three positions does make sense. would like to see the Broja deal done as the lad deserves a break . It worries me that our three backups are currently Taylor who is a midfielder ( no offence intended) , Harness and El-Hamadi. In my view very weak for premiership level. None of the three even played regilarly in the championship. Would not be averse to seeing Ladapo. Edumnsen and Slicker on loan go out . Hope Harness gets a chance as a good back up player and apparently the best crosser of a ball at club. However if he needs to go to balance the books fair enough. |

Looking forward to seeing this lad in action. I just feel woolfendem got bullied a few times last year, Swansea versus Jamal Lowe springs to mind. The Broja situation is interesting but if he is a sick note we cannot take a long term risk.I agree maybe push the boat out and get the Greek lad. Might mean selling all the spare players and running with a few youngsters as back up but I could live with that . That is after all Mckenna’s big strength, developing players . |

Hope we look at an alternative to Broja , even if only a 6 month loan until Hirst is properly fit again. Seems unlikely the Broja deal will resurrect so maybe Nketiah from Arsenal ? |
 | News Comment | Broja Deal On Brink at 13:19:22
None of us know the full facts, it is almost certain money is involved , perhaps agents demands.Truth be told this is the only player we have looked to sign that has been at a big club for ant time so it probably feels like a big comedown for him and his enterourage will be thinking are the wheels about to come off re their future income. Note Phillips deal has no obligation to buy and the intricacies involved. Hope the lad sees sense and truly wants to play regularly. He is no good left to rot at Chelsea. Best to compromise and get McKenna working with him. |

Will be a great signing allowing the changeover at 60 minutes theerfore giving no peace to opposition full backs who will be tiring. Proven system in both League One and the championship and the players love the system. |
 | News Comment | Blues Again Linked With Burnley Defender O'Shea at 14:52:40
Can't see Woolfenden retaining his place long term. There appears to be a gradual changeover of the promoted players who will become the back ups and, dependent on whether we stay up will also gradually leave to championship clubs to be replaced by new premiership level players. Expect Ladapo and Edmundsen to be moved on shortly along with Humphries on loan to free up squad places. |
 | News Comment | Town Finally Complete Szmodics Signing at 13:04:12
Prediction- he will score the goals to keep us up. In the nicest possible way- he is exactly the type of nasty forward we need to ruffle feathers at this level. It was mentioned earlier this week he has the traits of Craig Bellamy- defenders hate playing against this type of player. |
 | News Comment | Cajuste Set For Town Medical at 12:33:58
Good news, allows us to rotate the midfield within games. Chances are we will have to play on the counter much more so the two pivots become even more important. Fingers crossed for the medical. |

Time will tell, but this is a player with a point to prove , coached by the most sought after coach in Europe. |

Just a few stats to put things into perspective. Eleven players left plus five loans returned. Total 16 out. Six new signings to date. Hladzy,Donacien,Ndaba, Ball, Aluko, Camara, Hayes, El Mizouni, Adahme, Jackson,Baggott (Loan) Returned loans travis, Williams, Hutchinson, Moore, sarmiento, Ins- Greaves, Muric, Hutchinson, Townsend, delap, Johnson. Apart from Jackson and Hladzy, none of those leaving ever played . A right good clear out in my opinion. At least two in , maybe one or two as loans. Looking forward to seeing how Man City deal with their 115 charges against. |

I seem to remember some stats from when Harness was at Portsmouth which demonstrated he was the best crosser of a ball at the club. Add this to his work ethic and understanding of the process I feel we have a very adequate back up player at the very least. The existing players' understanding of each other will go a long way . Burnley let themselves down by overrecruiting and in doing so , upset the balance of the team. Mckenna will know this so I expect two more additions and possibly a centre half in with Edmundsen moving out. |
