Went away from that game not really feeling much to be honest. There was hardly anything to criticise from that game but we just didn't attack the goal once again. Got to feel for Jack Taylor. Alex Palmer once again outstanding. |

Horrible to watch in person. somehow Philogene, who got the two goals, was one of worst on the pitch. The most frustrated I have felt. At half time it was there for the taking, and yet McKenna obviously told his players to just pass the ball around and whenever we get forward, turn backwards. The players didn't seem up for it tonight when we had every chance to get the 3 points after the red card. Palmer made some great saves again keeping the deficit down. Some players also think that they are better than they are and refuse to pass at the best times. We need far more dynamism in midfield and Morsy is not the answer at this level. I am confident that once we are relegated, we will have a team primed to compete right at the top next season. But you feel that if we hadn't persevered with Muric and took our chances properly, we could have had a good chance at surviving. |
 | News Comment | Morsy: We Weren't at the Level at 01:12:26
That was the most frustrating part of this evening. It wasn't that we weren't at the level. It is that we didn't even bother to attack and test a woeful United. Every time we got forward, we slowed it right down and then just passed around, eventually going backwards. Morsy slows the game down far too much and gave away a silly foul which got a yellow for because he is too slow to keep up in the Premier League. Tonight was there for the taking but watching it in person, it felt like the team just weren't up for it. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Morsy and Davis Injuries Minor, Enciso to Be Assessed at 14:41:17
I think Leif will need to work hard to get back his place, because Townsend has been fantastic in the few games he has played. And Leif has been so complimentary as to how hard he pushes him in training so you just know that he wouldn't throw his toys out of the pram if benched for a few games. I do think Morsy being absent did add more dynamism and pace in midfield. I think if we take that performance from yesterday into the next couple games, we could definitely get 6 points (I highly doubt we will!). Luckily the bottom of Premier League has been poor this season and therefore we are unlikely to need as many points as usual to stay up. Beat Spurs again and we are well and truly back in it. |
 | News Comment | Palmer Makes Premier League Debut But Morsy and Davis Miss Out at 14:18:44
Im pretty relaxed about Morsy and Davis missing this one as both been poor lately. Gives Townsend and Phillips a good chance. Townsend was very impressive against Liverpool second half and against Coventry. Wishing Alex Palmer a great league debut! |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Difficult But Frustrating First Half at 18:33:32
Most frustrating thing for me was how anonymous our midfield was today. I don't think Morsy and Phillips work together. However hard to judge/criticise too much considering opponents. Nobody expected any result from today, but we expected commitment until the very end. And we got that. Positives: 1) Townsend looked very sharp when he came on 2) Apart from Enciso trying to break world record for fastest red card(!), I thought his corner taking was deadly! 3) We prevented Alisson from getting a clean sheet 4) Fans were fantastic Next game a must win! Really hope Wes isn't as bad as it seemed. |
