 | News Comment | Keane: It Should Have Been Three Points at 12:01:32
To come away from Sheffield with a point is a good result - but yet again it was thrown away by school boy errors. Perhaps Keane has finally realised that his job is on the line after his meeting with ME at the weekend and the rumblings that Hope Powell is looking for a job!! This would be the kind of headline that ME would relish - he has spent circa £10m on bringing in Keane and letting him buy the Sunderland and Ireland rejects and various other non performers but in doing so his company profile has gone through the roof!! For his £10m he had global coverage of the ME brand via TV, News media and the Internet so if Keane goes (or walks whichever comes first!?) he can then bring in the first female manager he will then get the advertsing coverage of the ME brand once again - that kind of coverage is well worth the money to a savi business man. In the mean time give Keane this month to see if he can turn it around and if the new signings arrive by the weekend........ Up the Mighty Horse |
