It frustrates me that you say "Mr Clegg failed to get it sorted", we have no idea or concept of all the variables involved in these deals. Look at the number of players travelling up and down the country yesterday to get deals done, that went straight back home (Babel), and all the last minute changes that clubs/players want to make to the deals (N'Zogbia).
Unless you have all the facts not sure you can level this straight at Cleggs door, though it does frustrate me that ITFC seem to drag their heels, i would rather than than pay over the odds for a player who really doesn't wanna come here, I.E. Liam Lawrence who quite clearly did not want to go to Portsmouth then suddenly changed his mind, hmmm wonder how much that cost Stoke!! |

I'm going to take this statement with a pinch of salt. I would rather not have expectations built up (as has been happening all sumer), to have them fall flat if we can't get any more players in. Like it that Keane plays down the idea of any further transfer dealings, then brings in a craker jack transfer/ Loan.
Think the comings and going this summer have been almost perfect, yes i would like to have seen greater fees for Stead, Garvan etc, but at least they are off the wage bill, Walters was a superb bit of business, and getting in Kennedy, Fulop and Scotland, look to be sound deals.

Rather the 4 million went on Whittingham. Think between Scotland, Priskin and Wickham up top, and with Townsend from the left we are in good shape, but Whittingham would fit in lovely on the other flank, give us a nice attacking balance, and hopefully a touch more creativity |
