|Few more thoughts|

He’s gone significantly downhill since I saw him against Doncaster then! That night from my recollection, he made one backwards pass (80+minute) and looked to drive the team forwards with every opportunity.
There is something materially wrong if we’ve turned him into a Skuse.

Good luck with it. It might be interesting to offer a list of sponsors and a list of clubs to see if they can be matched up by recall without you first showing them.

Is that typo libellous?

The defensive ‘organisation’ for that first goal was woeful.

Numerous football managers have of course, over the years altered the width of of their pitches to deny opposition wingers space and to compress the game to home advantage.
Cambridge United’s very own John Beck was a master of the artificially watery playing surface and dodgy away changing rooms but probably couldn’t squeeze their pitch any tighter than it already was.

Ah well, if that counts, I’ve had a pizza with Marty Cash and Ben Brereton.

I turned 50 at the weekend. The Tories have been in government for all bar 16 years of my lifetime. There is nobody else to blame for the state of this nation and its police, NHS, roads, rail, immigration etc.

I’m guessing that’s why they’re playing in the third division.

Great question. I’m very conflicted over the World Cup. It absolutely should be nowhere near Qatar but will I engage with it? Should I? My head says absolutely not but do I have any chance of resisting it. Time will tell.
The fact I even wrote that shows that they’ve won - they’ve bought something we can’t resist buying off them, even if the vendor is a villain.

If you’re in politics for the money, you’re there for the wrong reasons. After all many of the current Tory front bench (and those behind them) don’t need the money at all due to their family backgrounds, Eton education and city careers.
Ask yourself why THEY are in parliament and there is only one conclusion. Self interest.

I think it’s the age gap feels so much narrower as you get older whereas it’s a gulf when you’re under 20. My footballing heroes were grown men when I was a kid but actually they were only a decade and a bit older than me.

Did something very similar with 1917 although I was in the correct screen. Went in late (usually go to Showcase where they waste 25 minutes of your life on them, this was a Vue cinema) to miss the adverts, film had started so just settled down and watched it assuming I was 5 mins in.
When I watched it on TV, I discovered I’d missed just under a quarter of it.
