Bolton Wanderers 2-2 Town - Match Report
at 01:25:05

Gutted, we make things so hard for ourselves. For me we need 4 points from these two games which means we need to go to Cardiff and win which is no easy task as can see them being up for it after there defeat tonight.

Great result. Bart again superb. Foley is really proving his worth at the moment and shows that you don't need to spend millions. Still all to play for with lots of twists and turns to come. Now to big away games coming up 4 points from these two would be a great return. Out of interest how many wins do people think we need to get play offs? I still think 8 wins are needed that would give us the same points as last season. It's a big ask but I certainly think we can do it. The beer tastes sweet tonight Coyb.

McCarthy: We're Capable of Beating Anyone at Portman Road
at 18:22:40

Therein61 yes I was there, granted it wasn't pretty and we more than rode our luck. My statement was more to do with people singing duper mick McCarthy at the end. Did you not hear it? If not were you not there?

Dissboy it was a great goal and a joy to watch. You talk about principles and tradition my take on it is this. I travel to around 20 plus games a season home and away from derby at great cost and have done for many seasons now. Until mick arrived had I enjoyed going in the last 10 or so years no I hadn't but I still went. We played some nice football now and then but generally we had a soft underbelly and lost more often than not and got hammered on more than one occasion. I was sick to death of travelling back on the train after a defeat with opposition managers praise saying what a nice club ipswich are and how we play football the right way. What good has that done us? Nowadays I've got my love of going to watch us again is it pretty no it isn't in general. But what entertains me is having something to play for in march and April. Since royle left how often could we say that? I enjoy hearing sour grapes from managers after were beaten them on the way home not the kind words after were been bullied again. What I've heard today is people saying they would rather us lose playing nice football than win playing ugly. If that's the case go and support Barcelona. I would much rather see us pushing for the play offs playing ugly than sitting in mid table in march with nothing to play for. Micks got his faults and he annoys me with his stubbornness at times. But I'm grateful we have him and what he's done for us turning us into a competive side in this league. I look at sides like forest, Leeds etc sides with proud traditions and with similar squads. Look at those sides pretty sure they

May I just add that if your all fed up with mick and want him out, why don't you demonstrate after the match. As you state your the majority it would be interesting to see if you really are. In other words put up or shut up.

Berra: It's All Still to Play For
at 13:56:28

So what some of you are saying is it doesn't matter if we lose just as long as we string a few nice passing moves together. People harp on about Pompey. I'd say they raised there game over two games and deserved to win. If you look at there league form since then it's been very average. Not many sides would have coped with the injuries were had this season and still be in contention. The injuries all occurring to are best footballers if all were fit the style of play would have been greatly improved..

I agree to a point timmy h regarding royle, however we also played route 1 as well I don't think anyone can deny that. I also agree that the reading game was the turning point we were woeful that night and cut open time and time again with a very average side. People can moan about the style of play etc and yes it isn't pretty but in general we look more solid. With the current personnel avaliable I feel this is the best option. If we of had a fit bish, didz and fraser all season I do feel the football would have been more entertaining. Any side would miss such players and I think we're done well to still be in contention, many sides wouldn't have cooed.

Hyam and Murphy Expected to be Fit for Huddersfield Trip

Essexboy and replace with who exactly? Granted mick has his faults and at times is his own worst enemy with selection etc. But the fact of the matter is we punched above our weight last season and same with this season. Things are dire at the moment granted but all is not lost if we can string a few wins together. We did need to strengthen in January but for that I blame Evans and Milne. I

McCarthy Expects Tabb Exit
at 12:09:27

A good honest pro, who played a big part in keeping us up and reaching the play-offs last season. His treatment by some on here has been disgusting, made a scapegoat on so many occasions. But give me a tabb anyday of the week over a reo-Coker. I would like to see him kept on in some capacity surely he could do a better job with the u21's than Kennedy? Good luck in the future tabby.

Bialkowski Signs New Town Deal
at 18:25:46

Yes Keannish he would have been a great signing, shame that we never got it done. Agree with you concerning Marshall as well, those two also top the list for me as the standouts. Don't think there's much seperating the rest personally.

I rate Bart higher than grant personally Keannish. He's been second fiddle to Carson much of this season but when he has played he's made some costly errors. I think Westwood is the best keeper in the league and always impresses when I've seen him. Really happy with this news as Bart has been exceptional since he came back in. I also feel comfortable with gerken as back up as despite a shaky few games earlier in season felt he was playing very well before he got injured and looked fairly solid.

Bristol City 2-1 Town - Match Report
at 21:11:30

Pissed off as much as everyone else. But changing manager in my opinion isn't the answer. As I stated in a previous post investment was needed in January. Yes we were told funds were avaliable, but I can't imagine these funds were substantial enough to attract the quality of player to take us further a moncur, mcgeady, knockaert etc. My own feeling is that we have reached a crossroads with this squad and investment is the only answer. I don't think anyone could get much more out of this squad at present and feel ripping it up and starting again serves no purpose for me. For one I can't see a manager out there working for a faceless owner with little funds to offer especially not one's avaliable like Pearson or rodgers etc. I agree that at present mick's not helping himself at present with something's. But I feel he had been badly let down by Evans and Milne.

McCarthy Expecting Bouncing Ashton Gate
at 22:04:35

Timmy h I don't believe for one second that mick doesn't want to manage in the premier league. As you say Milne stated there are funds available to strengthen. But that could mean anything, my own view is that it's probably between £250,000-£500,000. Hence the reason mick stating he couldn't find anyone better for the money. If you look at the players available I don't think that would have got any of them. Looking at people like dack, knockaert, mcgeady. All 3 players would definately made us stronger and I feel the club has missed a trick in not loosening the purse strings. Sadly none of us know the true extent of how much us avaliable but I would put my house on it being under a million therefore I don't blame mick for looking at the loan market instead.
