We do always seem to want your fringe players - and I wonder why as they invariably become fringe players at Selhurst!
Like what I hear about Smith, his Colchester loan spell aside.
From what I know, Freedman wants a young 'up and coming' centre half and and experienced one too. So Smith could be exactly what we are looking for.

Palace fan here, great site you have here. With all the ex Town players we have and or get linked to I often find myself reading this site, so thought I'd give me 2 pence.
Rhodes looks a great 'fox in the box' type. Why was he let go from Town?
