Nothing to lose, short contract provides him with chance to prove fitness and get career back on track, from local (ish) area. Proven scorer at this level. Does a good job hand him a longer deal, if not go separate ways. Can see him doing a good job for us, though take him a few months to get up to speed but we defiantly need another goal scorer.

Sort of player we need in team/squad if looking to push into playoffs next season. Be good at this level and could mean chambers at right back. Gives us strong options.
Titus Bramble anyone? Would stand out at this level at CB or even as holding midfielder, Would have to take less money though? Then again currently on nothing as released.

Keanish- cresswell adjusted quickly from league 1, Hewitt looks a player with potential that will improve with games over time. Get forrester in and have him adjust over next year or so, agree maybe not a 90 min player but impact sub or play for 1st 60mins, defiantly one for future. Rather him than Hunt. And be better than Martin
Forshaw would be a good addition, good upbringing at Everton and at 21, again lots more to come. Another ex- Everton youngster I'd go for wold be Jose Baxter, quality player with bags of potential.

Harry Forrester for me, turned down Ajax to go to brentford as wanted to play games. Fast, tricky winger and only 22 so plenty of improvement to come. A better option than hunt who would only be short term solution. I would take ebanks-Blake from wolves though, free transfer and just 27 so hitting his peak, always scored goals at this level and from area (ish) (cambridge) Know he is out for a while but worth risk IMO.
Without doubt MM knows what he is doing. Best manager the club has had in years.
