McKenna: Hirst Primed For Good Season
at 13:17:52

C_Jam_Blue, why so cynical? Maybe KM is giving us his professional assessment of George's preseason form and development, not trying to stroke George's ego or make any indirect message about signing another striker. I reckon another striker will come in as we can't rely on just one, no matter how fit and on form he is now. It's a long season and Ali isn't at the required level yet.

Former Blues Boss McCarthy Inducted into LMA Hall of Fame

Mick did the best with what he was given. A decent win ratio despite the defensive style or maybe because of it. The standout year was when Daryl Murphy was the divisions top scores after being an average player. Credit to Mick and Terry for that. Murphy and Didzy, when fit, were a formidable partnership. It’s unfair to label Mick as a boring tactician. When given the tools he got Town scoring goals.

Chelsea Strong Favourites to Sign Delap

I'm looking forward to seeing him play in a top prem side and hopefully for England one day. He is a raw talent with huge potential at the right club.

McKenna: West Ham Executed Better Than Us in Both Boxes
at 09:12:24

slade1, I am sure the investors are a lot calmer and more balanced than you. They are business people who have invested for the medium to long term and would be delighted how the value of their stock has risen in just 3 seasons and very satisfied that the team made it to the Prem well ahead of any realistic schedule. If we were still stuck in Lg1 they would be pulling their hair out. No fan or investor realistically expected Town to be an established Prem side straight after back to back promotions.

Ipswich Town 1-3 West Ham United - Match Report
at 19:45:54

How can people say it's our worst season ever? They must be "new fans" that didn't support the club in the dark days of Lg1 before the transformation that put us on the same pitch as Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea etc and in record time. Yes it's disappointing that Town were outplayed most games but it was to be expected as all 3 promoted teams went straight back down, as they did last year. People also forget Town's injury crisis that didn't help. At times half the squad was unavailable - Ogbene, Philogene, Smzodics, Broadhead, Burns, Chaplin, Greaves, Axel etc. I don't think it's fair to say we wasted £100m. With a fully fit squad and decent preseason, I think Town will be too strong for most teams in the Championship. We need good replacements for Delap and Cajuste.

Forest Eyeing Davis
at 16:55:07

Leif was massive for us in the back to back promotions with his creative play, crosses and assists. He struggled with the step up to the Prem, but so did almost every Town player including the big money signings. Leif has admitted he lost confidence this season, not just due to the problems on the field it seems, so I for one want him to stay and get back to his best as he could be massive again for us next season. I thought he was one of our better players against Leicester last weekend. I like Townsend a lot and the two of them would ensure we have great cover and competition for that position which is important.

McKenna: Palace Are a Strong Side But We Go There With Confidence
at 14:10:32

I'm cautiously optimistic if Omari and Enciso are back tomorrow. I think they could have won us the game on Monday and with them and Delap on the pitch, and Palmer in goal, I don't write Town off as many on here are doing. I am sure the players will go there believing and giving 100%, so let's get behind them and the manager.

Nottingham Forest 1-1 (AET, 5-4 on Pens) Ipswich Town
at 22:50:27

Unlucky boys. Great effort. No luck again. Came out just the wrong side of a fine margin again. Hope they take confidence from this into the league. No shame in the result tonight, was a lottery at the end and Town were close to a win against a strong Forest team at their place. We were missing key players in Omari and Enciso who could have made the difference. We're all gutted to lose like that, but back the boys and be proud of them tonight. A penalty save the other way and we'd all be in seventh heaven.

McKenna: A Really Poor Result For Us, a Game That Was There For Us to Win
at 20:37:35

Some of you so called fans need to get a grip. We are very lucky to have Kieran and he has got us from mid table league 1 to the Prem in 2 seasons! How can some of you accuse him of coming up short or not being good enough! Also, the owners are pumping huge amounts of money into improving the squad, facilities and to try to keep us up. Fans need to get behind the team, on bad days, not just good ones. Yes, it was gut wrenching to lose today. But Town were the better team and deserved 3 points. That's football.

Ipswich Town 1-2 Southampton - Match Report

Town deserved to win. More threatening, more quality, more attacks but poor finishing. Southampton had all the luck, Town had none. Town should have been out of sight instead of relying on Muric who has zero confidence.

McKenna: Muric is An Extremely Talented Keeper But He's Young and Settling Into the Club
at 18:10:31

Muric is 3rd in the table for number of saves by keepers in the prem so far. He deserves a lot of credit. He's improving and has the potential to keep town in the prem. Burnley fans said they would have stayed up if they had him for the season, not just the last 10 games. Anyone who thinks Walton who warmed the bench all last season can just come in and do better at a time when we're fighting for points is unrealistic.

McKenna: A Devastated Dressing Room
at 19:35:06

Some of you negative doom merchants need a reality check. At 87 mins Town were winning, and were robbed of a 2 goal cushion. The players worked their socks off and were knackered at the end. Bournemouth had quality subs to help them nick it at the death. That's no reason for some of the so called Town fans to throw a tantrum and get their knives out. Most of you seem to think you know better than our manager. Go back to your armchairs and support the team up the road.

dirtydingusmagee so negative even before a ball is kicked. You just read how Kieran is asking for the fans to get behind the team as they work their socks off to try to get something out of the game. If Southampton beat Bournemouth, why do you write Town off? If we can beat Tottenham away, against the odds, we have a chance on Sunday, surely. COYB!! Prove the doubters wrong!

McKenna: We Certainly Could Have Won It

Poet, what game were you watching? Delap had a great game and had the highest rating of both teams according to the BBC poll. To suggest he had a bad day, when Onana made two amazing/lucky blocks is a disservice to both players. You don't know what you are talking about and I hope Delap doesn't read your drivel.

Blues' Promotion Hopes Boosted Further After Owls Draw

Hugely impressive run for 6 or 7 games and some indifferent results for the rest of the top 4 have put Town well in contention if they can keep the winning mentality going. They certainly have the quality and confidence. Come on Town, you've had your blip and its time to capitalise on the points dropped around you. So close!

I think the missed penalty and the lack of the red card was a lucky escape for them and the important turning point. Sounds like there will be a retrospective ban for their dirty player.
