O'Shea and Peskett Players of the Year
at 11:43:39

Sophie Peskett is a class act. The two games I've seen them play live she has absolutely run the show. I suspect there will be interest in her from bigger clubs. The women had an incredible season; 88 goals in 22 games really tells the story!

Delap 'Holds Manchester United Talks'
at 09:06:22

It's not disrespectful in the slightest, just let him get on with it. It's a job at the end of the day, and up to him to maximise his earning potential. Besides, United are so sh1t that at least he's likely to play in most of the games, plus the potential of CL if they win tomorrow...

Churchmans it hasn't been a "miserable season" really. Obviously it is disappointing to finish where we have, but I for one have enjoyed the ride. We have been competitive in most games and it's been brilliant to go to some of the big grounds (occasionally in the wrong end!). Some of our signings have not worked out as we would have liked, and giving away 27 points from winning positions is a sin, but still, it's the pinnacle of the game and where we should all want to be. Let's hope we bounce back and make a better fist of it next time and put this one down to experience.

Cajuste every time, although I suspect Delap will win just because of the weight of his goals. Cajuste glides round the pitch like the proper international that he is; it's kind of effortless and beautiful. And he scored goal of the season. As a side note, I don't really understand the love for O'Shea. Personally I think he has not lived up to the hype at all. I'd definitely have Burgess, probably Greaves and maybe even Woolfy ahead of him.

Premier League Preview: Wolverhampton Wanderers
at 11:09:33

Well you have to be proved wrong. If there was ever a must win game, this is it. Our final four games are definitely winnable, but we cannot let the gap get to 12 points or even to stay at 9.
BTW Everton's next four games are horrendous; maybe they could conceivably be dragged back into it??

There is often a miraculous escape story. I don't think we'll do it, but as long as we beat Wolves and then don't fall too far behind in the next three games, then the last four are eminently winnable (Everton, Brentford, Leicester & West Ham). None of them will have anything to play for (unless Everton or West Ham somehow get dragged into trouble) so we have a massive incentive. COYB.

By the way, not a game you want to be watching in the middle of the palace fans when they score a late winner :(

Timmy H Cajuste is regularly our best player and actually played well most of this game. There was a little turn and flick pass about 15 minutes in that was just lovely. And Phillips looks better every game. If you really want to pick out individuals who are not performing, try Clarke and Enciso, the latter often makes poor decisions and both are far too lightweight.

Town Women Return to Winning Ways at Wimbledon

First time I've seen our women's team and i must say they were excellent, Sophie Peskett in particular POTM for me. Having seen the men lose yet again on the Saturday it made a nice change to watch us win!

Poet good post, absolutely nailed it. there's a couple more names you could add to your ineffective list too. OTOH we should note that Cajuste looks like he could be the real deal. I get why KMc brought on Al Hamedi, but he is so far out of his depth it is actually a little embarrassing.

Ipswich Town 0-1 Crystal Palace - Highlights

Awful game, both sides dire, one moment of quality to win it. Always looked like a 1-0 either way. A horrible cold evening followed by an even worse train home full of cocky palace fans.

An Imperfect Ten

I'm definitely enjoying it. Your points are all fair and well made, but i love the fact we are competing at the highest level after such a long hiatus. The ticket thing is really annoying but i guess it is just a consequence of success. Of course people who have never seen us at this level want to watch us play the big teams, it's inevitable, and we shouldn't begrudge that. I was in the "wrong" end for the West Ham game (awful) and will be again on Sunday for Spurs, but at least we're there. As for the VAR situation, it does feel ridiculous. I was in the top of Churchmans for the Leicester game and could see from there it was a penalty!!! But let's hope it evens out at some point; a penalty against Man United in a couple of weeks would be a nice balance.

The Premier League – Am I Enjoying It?
at 08:37:41

I went to see Bob Dylan at Hyde park whenever that was and you're right, he was absolute sh1te. But you can't compare that to Ipswich playing in the prem. Yes West ham was a horrible soulless bowl (and a pretty worrying performance) but we have to enjoy the ride, it might only last one season. At least we are back at the top table. Every fan should want us to play at the highest possible level, even if it is sometimes painful.

McKenna: Proud Night Individually and For Everyone at the Club

West Ham? Brighton? Behave. The only one we should be worried about is Man United. He was there for years, supported them as a kid and would fit what they probably want (younger English-speaking manager who plays football in the right way and commands the respect of his players). So we all need to hope that they win the FA Cup to save Ten Hag's job!

The weird thing is that Southampton play three times and Leeds and Leicester twice each before we next play. So it could look quite different at that point. But at least one of those is Leicester v Southampton. That final day Leeds v Southampton could yet be critical...

Town Dismiss 400 Staff Tickets Claim
at 13:30:18

I've got membership and some away points, but it's still hard to get tickets, so i have been to several away games in the "wrong" part of the ground, including this one. To be fair, there were a few of us dotted about. I thought the "real" away area made a decent amount of noise, but certainly not as much as some of the games this season (Southampton, Blackburn etc). Almost certainly a consequence of the magnitude of the occasion, which clearly also got to the players. Anyhow, as many have said, we just need to focus on the remaining 5 fixtures, starting tomorrow. And remember Leicester & Leeds have got some tough games to come...
