 | Forum Thread | Still yet to see any form of real improvement from Cook at 15:00 20 Mar 2021
Influential subs? Half time motivational team-talk? Change of shape or formation to have a positive influence during a game? I really hope it's just down to personnel but then it begs the question if it was worth getting rid of Lambert. I'm sure it will be because Lambert is one of the worst managers i've ever seen manage us - it's just concerning that i've seen no real difference from one of our worst ever to what should be one of our better appointments, if posts on here are anything to go by. Still, plenty of time for him and time to get his own players in at the end of the season could see a big change. |
 | Forum Thread | Championship promotion / relegation at 11:48 7 Mar 2021
Let's say Cook is as good as a lot seem to think he is, and we get promoted via the playoffs or autos. In an ideal world, who do you want to get relegated and who promoted this season from the championship to give us the best chance of staying up? If somehow the likes of Birmingham and Wednesday got relegated leaving the likes of Rotherham in the division next season, for example, would be a slight improvement. The problem is a the other end its a little irrelevant as whichever 3 come down from the prem are going to be at another level. Sounds silly but I'd much rather Norwich get promoted than endure a thrashing from them next season. They're practically up anyway. Be good to get rid of Watford too - Swansea if they don't get promoted feel like they might be more of a midtable outfit next season. I've probably seen more of the championship than league one this season as watching a PL Ipswich wasn't worth it. I know its a 'worry if you get there' scenario but in reality we probably only have 4 or 5 championship quality players. Therefore we need Cook to be like a Warne at Rotherham and get more than the individual abilities out of the players. |
 | Forum Thread | Just a small, pedantic point. at 19:33 9 Jan 2021
Why do our players laugh and smile and joke around with the opposition after a loss? I know "its only football" and the games over, but I watch other games and when teams lose most of the squad look distraught and the last thing they want to do in the minutes after is laugh and joke with the guys that beat them. Especially when you've lost to a team 23rd in League One, at home. Just irritates me. |
 | Forum Thread | Dont sack him now. at 20:23 29 Feb 2020
This point in the season, no point. Even with Lamberts ineptitude we will still finish in the playoffs. So it's not like it makes sense to bring someone in for a free hit this season. That hasn't worked out for us this time round anyway! He is useless, busted flush and the worst manager in our history. But this squad will get playoffs. It would get playoffs with me in charge ffs. |
 | Forum Thread | Big positive at 12:34 23 Feb 2020
Our run in means despite Lambert being the worst manager I've watched town under, we should easily make the playoffs. There are simply too many awful teams in this god forsaken league for us not to. What this also means is we should go into the playoffs on the back off a run of good results. Against naff teams, but hopefully a confidence builder all the same. Will that be enough for us to beat a top 6 team over two legs? |
 | Forum Thread | Coventry weakened? at 10:20 31 Jan 2020
Just been told Cov have sold their left-back Sam McCallum to Nodge? Only seen him play a couple of times but looked too good for this level so surely a good thing for us to have Cov weakened |
 | Forum Thread | Why has Evans made himself a target? at 18:30 4 Jan 2020
I just cannot fathom the decision to give Lambert that contract. Without having done that, he would have been an owner who kept a manager on after relegation because he had got the fans back on board, not sold any prize assets in summer and given Lambert the biggest squad and likely budget in the league. That puts everything at Lamberts door to deliver. But with the extended contract, especially without explanation from himself, has made himself a sitting duck. |
 | Forum Thread | Annoyed / frustrated at Lambert. at 22:16 12 Nov 2019
Cant help but feel a little annoyed after the last two results. Not been a big fan of his selection or tactics all season, and whilst I know alot of the first teamers havent been involved it feels like over the past couple weeks our momentum has kind of...gone. I also dont like our fans bleating on about 'Micky mouse cups', especially regarding the FA cup but even tonight. We are in League One on merit - these competitions are all relevant to us right now and for once we actually have a big enough squad to not have to be quite so damning on fielding such weaker teams. The plus point is if we beat Blackpool comfortably this all gets forgotten about but this was a rare occasion, particularly saturday, where we could have made a real go of it. I will contradict myself slightly in saying normally I'd think our team on Saturday would be good enough to win but under Lambert we seem to struggle despite the wins to really have any control no matter what team we play. |
 | Forum Thread | England U21 Squad at 13:09 30 Aug 2019
Looking at the quality in our under 21's now, it annoys me that Aidy Boothroyd is still in charge of them! Feels like with the quality of player at disposal and the potential they have, surely we can do better? Squad for those who havent seen it! Goalkeepers: Ellery Balcombe (Brentford), Aaron Ramsdale (AFC Bournemouth), Nathan Trott (AFC Wimbledon, loan from West Ham United) Defenders: Max Aarons (Norwich City), Trevoh Chalobah (Huddersfield Town, loan from Chelsea), Ben Godfrey (Norwich City), Marc Guehi (Chelsea), James Justin (Leicester City), Jonathan Panzo (AS Monaco), Steven Sessegnon (Fulham), Ben Wilmot (Swansea City, loan from Watford) Midfielders: Todd Cantwell (Norwich City), Tom Davies (Everton), Phil Foden (Manchester City), Morgan Gibbs-White (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Dwight McNeil (Burnley), Omar Richards (Reading), Oliver Skipp (Tottenham Hotspur), Joe Willock (Arsenal) Forwards: Rhian Brewster (Liverpool), Mason Greenwood (Manchester United), Reiss Nelson (Arsenal), Eddie Nketiah (Leeds United, loan from Arsenal) |

All 8 goals they've scored from different players. Goals all over the pitch. Not conceded. 100% record. Great start from them that's for sure. |
 | Forum Thread | City look good again at 14:09 10 Aug 2019
Them and Liverpool top 2? Expected more from West Ham who have made a couple of good signings and are at home. Lucky it's not 4. |
