I remember a little flick he did at QPR away and you could just tell he had something the rest of our team didn't. A great shame his Town career was struck by such misfortune.
She's only come onto my radar recently and admittedly I thought 'here we go, as if we need another young Youtube football "storyteller" ' but actually credit to her she's extremely knowledgeable on a wide range of footballing topics, clearly puts in the research work, and while she doesn't perhaps have the automatic charisma of others, her passion for the game is clear.
Agree with your point. However last night's actually was quite tactical when they were trying to break quickly and we were stretched. But agreed losing him for two games will be very damaging.
My understanding is that Bishop is a very different player to Szmodics. A lot more physical, holds it up and brings others into play. Perhaps in the Champ but not here.
Awoniyi and Latte Lath reasonable suggestions I'd say.
He deserves to be dropped. Simple as. You can't try and be too clever and worry about confidence this, support that. His performances haven't been up to scratch and if he has the right mentality like every other squad member then he'll get his head down and fight for his place back.
The negatives far outweigh the positives. It's not as if his errors are from being overexposed. It's isolated, avoidable moments of terrible judgement and decision-making.
I don't want to seem ignorant and happy to be told otherwise but my initial thought would be that the pool of LGBTQ+ footballers (for the men's team) will be so small that it will not have an impact on our recruitment even if players did view us as unwelcoming.
I do think it is a different narrative and slightly more pertinent point with regard to the women's team where there is a vastly higher percentage of players who fall under the LGBTQ+ bracket.
But ultimately I don't think it would be an issue for either side. It's not as big a deal as some like to portray (not saying you).
