Thought Hutchinson's cross for Hirst's goal was outstanding... he had 3-4 players on him and he got it across. Otherwise - thoroughly enjoyed the second half - we were so much more positive. Compared to when we played them at Portman Road (when I confess, they outplayed us completely which was a sobering moment in our season) this was way way better. Performances like this are key for keeping players motivated to stay for next season - that Leicester match now looking like a big one with all that in mind!! |

Blimey, the Premiership is tougher than 20 years ago init...? If we can stay up it will be a major coup! We really could have won a couple of games already had we had the rub, so lets not panic... yet! Some great signs today amongst the more scrappy bits... Morsy, Delap, Davis among the standouts for me... |

Wishing well also from Bangalore, India I remembe very well when George had recently first played in the first team, and my Grandad took me to my third ever game at Portman Road - and said to me "I like this lad - he's gonna be good" and tbh I wasnt convinced at the time - but I went on to fully agree with him of course!! He knew! He sadly passed on in 1976, but those words stayed with me. He didnt usually make any such comments. |

Perhaps the first time, but agree with RobsonWark on this one... buininess links to any other club sounds like a compromise we wouldnt want? Werent Watford linked in that way earlier with another club? (maybe still are?) Not sure its helped them? |

Lets just wait for the signinging contract confirmation and get back to the strengthening and building euphoria of a week ago... sounding great! |
 | News Comment | Morsy Voted PFA Championship Fans’ Player of the Year at 08:39:09
Sam is immense for us, and I was really disappointed for his last season that he didnt get more recognition which he thoroughly deserved... so doubly pleased he's getting such accolades now at least... Great stuff!! |

Ed's support is absolutely huge for us... My teenage daughter thinks I'm totally crazy watching matches (eg against Forest Green Rovers) k/o at 2am here in Bangalore, India, but its the fact that Ed is with us means she is with us too... (and will hopefully be so for life too). Great to have you with us Ed!!! |

Wow, just wow! - that was actually a comfortable win, and so well deserved! I've absolutely loved the whole season, from here in India (ok, I was born in Felixstowe). My only gripe is that £170 for TownTV was dreadful value, as most matches were not available due to being on Sky and 'not available in your region'. But in the grand scheme of things, who cares??? Hopefully that money goes to the club. And as someone said here... not a time for negatives... absolutely wonderful! |
 | News Comment | Keane: I Deserved Sack at Town at 15:18:05
The one key core player we had at the time was Jon Walters.... and Keane blew him off... Can never forgive him for that. [Mind you, my spinster aunt in Woodbridge who never expressed an interest in anyone, really fancied him - quite an achievement!) |

Thoroughly enjoyed that!!! Wonderful team performance... Morsy, Luongo, Hutchinson, Broadhead, Hladski all stand out, but not diminishing others either... It always felt like we would win, but not taking anything for granted... and great that confidence levels are so high. Kieran is true class... Cheers all!! |

KMcK seems focused and serious, and makes sense with what he says! He may be rather monotone, but I'd rather that and him say sensible things, and as he says, its all about building, and he does have the credentials and feel of knowing where he's heading... I'm f feeling upbeat that this could be the change we all need to turn things around... even if its not gonna be super-animated post-match comments each week... thats fine by me! |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 2-1 Shrewsbury Town - Match Report at 04:47:55
I thought Paul Cook's words were honest and about right. Bonne obviously the star, but great performances from Burns, Donnacean, Fraser.. If we can maintain the form of the first 20 minutes of both halves, then we'll get promotion, but that's a major 'if'. Just to add that I really like Mick Mills' commentary, and find Brenner largely ok (he certainly does his homework), but agree he's quite annoying and rather shallow at times. Thoroughly enjoyed the game though, and especially the three points! Cambridge should be an interesting test! (my former local and second team years ago, and never thought we'd be meeting in the league). Would have liked to be there... |

Totally agree with you algarve.... and if you can raise it directly with EFL, please do. Like you, I was very willing to pay the £20/month last season, and looks like I (based in India) will now see almost nothing this season - midweek matches are a 3am job from here and I need to work -, and I will pay far less for any occasional 3am nights over the season. I realise I'm an unusual case, but not alone in this. And agree with the point for those physically unable to get to matches, surely there's a way, without comromising gate figures (yes we all love going there when we can!), and I bet the club (and EFL) can benefit. I've never managed to get illegal streams working, although not comfortable with that anyway. And as mentioned, the fact that radio Suffolk commentary IS available locally (ie to people who might actually go) but NOT to those outside Suffolk, just baffles me.... Might just have to ask my parents to put Skype beside their radio ... but frankly, not practical. |

Also... midweek games are just SO late in the night here in Asia, that although I might watch more than I should as part of a monthly package... I'm not (or very rarely) going to be paying for individual games ... |

Likewise... really disappointing, and SO GLAD I DIDNT buy the package, - here in India, it was a great bonus to watch last season (despite the disappointments), and of course we cant even get online commentary outside Suffolk (isnt that bonkers!).. so my interest in the club will undoubtedly wane somewhat this season (well perhaps not, I'm hooked after 50 years!)... but agree with some previous posts, that the club (and EFL) is seriously missing out on engaging fans here... great pity! |
