 | News Comment | Tottenham Hotspur 1-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 15:43:30
As a fan from Belgium who was in the stadium yesterday with my son, I can only say that I have been walking around with a big smile all day. A colleague at work who is a ManU supporter laughed at me on Friday that a win for Spurs was the first thing he had entered on his weekly bet. I suggest he give the money to charity rather than donate it to a gambling site. He should have known better because when we were top of the league after 2 match days last year, I told him we are coming. He laughed. I told him, who is going to stop us, there are only 44 games left. A week later I was laughing, only 43 more to go. This continued throughout the season (3 extra if we were not in the top two). Today is a public holiday here, so tomorrow morning someone will drive to work with a gigantic smile. To all ITFC fans, thank you for the fantastic atmosphere yesterday and we will stay up (only 27 to go) |

As a fan from abroad (Belgium) it is fantastic to have a site that always informs us so well. It may be a little easier to do this right now, but you also did it in the dark times of our club. Thank you very much for this and of course have a Merry Christmas |

I prefer barnsley to lose, if we have to go there and they're out of the promotion race it's easier to win there, maybe they'd rather have plymouth than us in the playoffs |
 | News Comment | Wark: As a Footballer He Was Unbelievable, As a Person He Was Even Better at 15:16:03
As an Ipswich fan from Belgium I normally never write anything in this forum. But for Paul I have to make an exception. I became a fan through the FA Cup final of 1977. Then the only game from England to be shown on TV in Belgium. Fortunately, from 1978, because of Arnold and Frank there was a summary of the Ipswich match on Dutch TV every Saturday evening. Me and my best friend never got to see our heroes Paul and John live until one morning in 1981 the newspaper reported that Ipswich is playing a friendly match in Berchem near Antwerp. We go there by train without asking our parents because they would have refused. We had to leave 15 minutes before the end to catch the last train. When we got home, our anxious parents were waiting for us. They were furious and we got a serious punishment. We accept that punishment with a smile because we had taken the only chance to see our heroes Paul and John live. Paul thank you for this unforgettable memory and RIP Because it is not possible to come to Ipswich on August 7 due to the corona rules. Please give Paul the applause he deserves. |
