 | News Comment | Forest Eyeing Davis at 12:06:45
Leif Davis has been a fantastic servant to the club — his commitment, energy, and performances have been vital to our progress. If he does choose to move on, we owe him our thanks and best wishes for the future. That said, there’s still plenty to be excited about. With Marcus Harness returning from loan, and a fully fit Conor Chaplin and Wes Burns back in action, Ipswich will be more than ready to push for a top 6 finish in the Championship next season. The future’s still bright at Portman Road. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 0-1 Brentford - Match Report at 18:16:04
Despite the result not going their way, Ipswich can count themselves unlucky to come away with nothing against Brentford today. There were long spells—particularly in the first half—where Brentford simply couldn’t cope with Town’s attacking intent and intensity. The movement, pressing, and forward play caused real problems, and on another day, the result could’ve been very different. Looking ahead, there’s still plenty of reason for optimism. With Marcus Harness returning next year in top form, and the prospect of a fully fit Conor Chaplin and Nathan Broadhead linking up again, Ipswich will have a potent attacking trio capable of pushing for a playoff spot. There’s every chance this side can turn promise into real progress next season. |
 | News Comment | Frank: Town Trip Our Most Difficult Remaining Game at 18:29:17
Brentford are right to be worried about facing the mighty Ipswich Town this weekend — the Tractor Boys are charging forward with serious momentum. And looking ahead, with Marcus Harness returning from his loan, plus a fully fit Chappers and Burnsy back in the mix, Ipswich will be a force to be reckoned with next season. A top 6 finish is well within reach — the Championship (or even the Premier League) better be ready! |
 | News Comment | Hirst: It's About Self-Pride at 10:50:54
As we approach the final games of the season, it’s time for Ipswich Town to come together and show the pride that defines this club. Relegation is a bitter pill to swallow, but it’s not the end—it’s the start of the next chapter. In every setback, there’s a lesson, and what we’ve learnt this year will make us stronger. The Championship is where we rebuild, refocus, and push for that top six finish. George Hirst, who’s shown leadership and determination on and off the pitch, will be leading our attack next season. His recent words reminded us that belief, unity, and hard work are what carry a club forward—and we’ve got that in abundance. With Marcus Harness returning from loan, a fully fit Wes Burns and Conor Chaplin back in the mix, we’ll be a force to be reckoned with. Opposition teams will know that facing Ipswich Town next season means facing fire, fight, and fearlessness. Let’s finish this season with our heads high—and come back hungrier than ever. Up the Town. |
 | News Comment | Taylor: It's Going to Be Completely Different Next Year at 10:37:42
Ipswich have a real shot at a top six finish next season — no doubt about it. With Marcus Harness coming back from loan, we’ve got an extra bit of quality and creativity in the squad. Add to that a fully fit Burnsy flying down the wing and Chappers back to his sharp, goal-scoring best, and this team looks dangerous. If we can keep that core fit and firing, there’s no reason we can’t be right in the mix for the playoffs. |

Tactician masterclass from McKenna. Anyone watching that who thinks we don’t belong on the Prem needs to give their head a wobble. Remember next year we’ll have Harness back from loan, with a fully fit Chappers and Burnsy. The attacking threat of those three will strike fear into all Championship opposition. |

If Kieran McKenna moves on, there’s no better man to steady the ship than Mick McCarthy. He knows Ipswich inside out — the club, the fans, the pride that comes with wearing the badge. When Mick was here last time, he took a team in trouble and made us competitive again, built on hard work, resilience, and unity. In a moment of change, we’d need someone who can command instant respect, someone who won’t be overwhelmed by the pressure — and that’s exactly what Mick brings. He’s proven at this level and beyond, and crucially, he understands the heartbeat of Ipswich Town. No experiments, no big egos — just a manager who knows how to dig in, rebuild, and give us something to believe in again. Mick’s the safe hands and the strong heart we’d need to move forward. |

 | News Comment | Newcastle United 3-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 17:38:37
Top shift from the lads today — there were times Newcastle looked absolutely clueless trying to get through us, especially that first half, we had ’em rattled! Alright, the result didn’t fall our way, but no shame at all losing to a team flying like they are. Woolfie was class — throwing himself at everything, proper Town lad, love to see it! Tell you what, next season we’re gonna be right up there. Get Harness back, Chappers, Burns and Luongo fit and firing — we’ll be a nightmare for teams. Play-offs? Wouldn’t bet against us one bit! |
 | News Comment | Newcastle United 3-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 17:11:18
Solid performance from the lads, there were points Newcastle didn’t seem to know how to break us down, especially in the first half. Admittedly the result didn’t go our way, but there’s no shame in losing to an in form Newcastle team. Woolfenden made some great clearances, pleased for the lad, he’s Town through and through. I think we’ll be a force to be reckoned with next season. With Marcus Harness back from his loan and a fully fit Chappers, Burns and Luongo we’ve got a great chance of making the play offs. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 0-4 Arsenal - Match Report at 16:08:16
Gutsy performance from the lads, gave it their all. No shame in losing to an on form Arsenal team. Fine margins again, but we regroup and recover. On today’s performance Town should definitely be pushing for the playoffs next year, hopefully with Mckenna. A fully fit Burns and Chappers could make a big difference too. |
 | News Comment | Burgess Linked With La Liga Move at 22:58:33
Can’t blame him for wanting a move, he can’t guarantee first team football at Ipswich, and with one eye on the World Cup (a career peak for any footballer) with Australia, needs to be getting games. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Three Really, Really Bad Goals Before Half-Time at 18:28:01
Fine margins, but we take the positives and move on. Lots of games to go, a couple of wins and the season starts to look different. Some good individual performances today, need to maximise the international break and come back fresh. |
 | News Comment | Godfrey: Call With the Gaffer Blew Me Away at 06:27:33
Great interview. Sounds like a McKenna call can be crucial in attracting players to the club. Lets hope he can bring some of that Norwich/Premiership class to our defence. |
