We had a Sky Soundbar before which we now don't need and I'd say the Glass has better quality than that, the range and dynamics seem a lot better. I'm using everything on WiFi, we have BT Fibre at 990Mbps, and a number of BT WiFi dishes across the house and so far everything seems really good, I was pleasantly surprised actually to see one of the Sky Pucks quite happily stream Gangs of London in Ultra High Definition without any issues (that's with other things streaming etc. too). From what I've read, I think the key is good WiFi and broadband - if we didn't have Fibre to the Premise, I don't think it would work, ironically we had Sky Broadband Max before and that barely coped with my boys streaming YouTube! |

We changed over a few weeks back, we have FTTP broadband, and the picture quality is amazing. Sky also allow you to have a Sky Puck (dumb name), but essentially these replace the Sky Q and allow you to use Sky on any television obviously streaming the same way. The biggest gripe for me is with the Sky Puck, as they can take a while to turn on, or just not turn on at all, apparently newer firmware will sort this, as well as them changing all of the channel numbers. Something to bear in mind is there is no record functionality - so if you use this on Sky Q, then that goes, but for me it was a saving on my Sky Q deal + you get the devices, and there is no contract (other than the TV) they are all rolling 31 days. |
