 | News Comment | Sunderland Agree Terms With Ross at 14:25:46
Ross turned Ipswich down on Monday, Hurst has only been spoken to on the phone, Lampard turned down Ipswich because of salary. The new manager was at the club yesterday and has been agreed verbally. Expect an announcement shortly. My source has told me not to say who it is just yet. |
 | News Comment | Ross and Hurst Remain Leading Contenders With Lampard Out of Race at 13:00:35
People on here moaning about Lampard being greedy. He was offered a salary comparable to assistant managers in the championship. The salary would be comparable to a lower league 1 side. Ipswich have no chance of getting Ross or Hurst with a similar offer. |
 | News Comment | Sunderland Emerge as Rivals for Ross at 11:34:03
Ross, reluctant to take the job due to wage and transfer budget. Hurst, Is high on Derby's wish list should Rowett take the Stoke job. Lampard, will be next Ipswich Town Manager. With Harry Redknapp accepting a consultant role on a rolling monthly contract. |
 | News Comment | Ross Set for Further Town Talks Today at 09:33:01
2nd interview will be because playing and coaching staff are really not sure about Ross. The Scottish Championship is not of the standard of the championship. I can see this ending in tears if it happens. |
 | News Comment | Ross Not Willing or Able to Comment on Town at 12:46:12
To put the record straight. Mick McCarthy did a great job for Town. With very minimal resources he saved Town, got them into the playoffs and kept the club in the division. Do you think any manager in football can produce free flowing (Man Cityesk) football with the squad and resources he has had? |
 | News Comment | Sherwood in Contention for Town Job at 15:12:51
@midastouch I love Burley, he was a great manager and always happy to have a chat. He's been out of the game a while and with the squad Ipswich have would he be able to play his style of football? With the lack of funds available i'm not sure he would be able to bring in the sort of player he would need. I would hate for George to come in and things not going well and potentially tarnishing his great name. |
 | News Comment | Sherwood in Contention for Town Job at 10:27:53
I have this on very good authority from someone inside the club. Sherwood really impressed Evans in the interview, he spoke about developing youth and building a system similar to tottenham. However, Tim wants to bring in all his own team and such a huge overhaul has giver ME cause for concern, so would be unlikely that he will be offered the role. ME is reluctant with Paul Hurst, he is focused on Shrewsbury and ME wants the new manager to be solely focused on Ipswich. I would expect an announcment on Mark Warburton to be announced soon. |
