Bluemachine, I am struggling to disagree with you. Dear me, it appears as though it's all a bit fudged doesn't it. Hmmm good points, well made |
 | News Comment | McCarthy: Get Enough Points to Stay Up and Then Have a Sort Out in this League at 01:18:16
I'm quite confused really. I mean, the language I hear at the ground (and in the presence of children) every game is quite frankly nothing compared to MM saying the word "sh1te" etc and to be fair, he seems aware that it's not exactly going well. Some idiot behind me referred to Chambo as Captain C&&t for the whole game against Wolves. Nice one mate. Bellhammer! Anyway, my protest is to stay away. It's utterly pointless getting on the backs of the team. Sure, it'll release your frustration and most games I'm swearing under my breath or holding my head in my hands, but really? Come on. If we sacked MM now, what on earth are you expecting? No, seriously. Look at what we have and tell me the way we'd set up and how on earth it'd be any different. As for Douglas and the stat of not winning a game with him in the team, well, I'm pretty sure every player has been involved in a poor performance and no doubt a defeat. On another not re: Douglas. Hear me out... Generally, I think Morrisons is a poor supermarket. It'd be like me going up to the shelf stacker and giving him or her abuse for the fact it's naff. Ain't exactly their fault is it? Let's smash Wigan into oblivion and we'll, COYB |

Just finished work and on the way home I was thinking about this whole situation. Granted, we play the most dire football I have seen us play for, errrm, a long time, but surely even the most enthusiastic supporter can see MM has done a job that I would at least describe as okish. Heck! How much investment has gone into the team? I am pretty convinced he's setting up the team as best as he can and although it won't be popular with some, I believe he needs (when we are 100% safe from relegation) to be granted a budget that isn't peanuts. Look around, he's a good manager on paper but when given f all what would you do?! You'd probably do what he has been doing and set up the "mustn't lose line up." The ticket price increase and the senior citizen change too narks me to the point of being speechless, but is that really MM's fault? I would say, No. ME should (if safe from the drop) back MM with some kind of serious budget and if he fails, fire him. Until that point MM will always have that, "I had no real money to spend" schtick, which I can't argue with. I was going to go to the next two games, but my protest is to not show. I love ITFC as does my father, but a price increase and a quite frankly, a ludicrous incentive (that 5% discount nonsense) has made me think twice about this high brow business that was once, to me, my father and many a club. A football club that had ambition and provided our community with entertainment, win lose or draw. |
 | News Comment | McCarthy Gutted to Lose Taylor for a Month at 02:24:40
I'd love to believe he gets over this injury and can have a good run of games with us. As I say that, I'm looking at his past injury stats and wondering why I have that belief but sod it, I'm a fan and I believe he'll come good! COYB undefeated with Taylor, hashtag blah :) |

Went along to the Derby game and again today. Today, we were a different side. Super well done! Taylor was impressive and I'd be keen on us keeping him if he continues to play as he did today. it shows we can play and I hope we all get behind them and keep positive. Mmmm beer, tastes better when we play well. |
