Tete Yengi signed for us from Newcastle (Australia) but never made the first team. The last first team player we've signed from a non-british club would technically be Steven Taylor from Portland Timbers, albeit he was a free agent. In 2015 were our last permanent signings from abroad, and we actually had multiple in one Window with Knudsen from Esbjerg (Denmark), Malarczyk from Kielce (Poland) and Tommy Oar from Utrecht (Netherlands), plus Larsen Toure on a free having previously been in the French lower divisions |

I'd love to see a more modern version of the 1996-98 away kit |

If Watkins leaves Villa, I can definitely see them being interested. 3 goals against them this season and some of his best play in them fixtures, won't have gone unnoticed by Emery |
 | Forum Reply | Omari to Leeds would be a tough one to take at 17:06 30 Apr 2025
I heard a rumour that Omari has the exact same relegation release clause as Delap. Not sure how true it is, but I can certainly see Premier league teams sniffing around him |

Accrington Blackburn Colchester Ipswich Bournemouth played Spurs there in the premier league, and Crawley got their first appearance in the playoffs last year |

Was hoping to see this post! First away game I’m missing all season as no trains back after the game, and 15 mins from where I work, see you there! |

Wolves also still have to play southampton, so can pretty much chalk that one off as a win straight away. The season itself isn't over, can still breed confidence into the squad if we can pull off a few more wins, and got the FA Cup still, but I feel the players know now that it'd take a miracle to survive. Saying that, great escapes have happened in the past relatively regularly, so we keep fighting until the fat lady sings |

John Moncur played for us on loan, meanwhile George was linked with us countless times but only ever played against us. Going the other way round, Jordan Rhodes’ father Andy never played for us, but did register as a reserve goalkeeper whilst on our coaching staff, and whilst neither ever played for us, David Martin was technically an Ipswich player last year whilst his dad Alvin was also a pro. Also going off an earlier comment, Jake Forster-Caskey definitely played for Charlton U21s against us at Portman’s road, as I recall being amazed by him running the show, before realising he who he was, and that he was only playing in the U21s to regain fitness after a long injury! |

I would think the same, but Clarke starting ahead of Szmodics. Thought Clarke looked good for his 20 minute cameo vs villa, and that Coventry performance will give him so much confidence |
 | Forum Reply | Seems like quite a few posters wanting Townsend at 15:47 19 Feb 2025
This is probably going to be quite an unpopular opinion, but I thought townsend struggled on Saturday. (Although, I'm sure most people would've struggled against the pace of Malen, and then a world class winger in Asensio). Did enough to get by, and had some solid moments, but got beaten quite easily by his direct runners and some of his first touches slowed play down quite a bit, compared to what we've been used to with Leif. I still think Townsend has done more than enough to be a solid, consisitent backup, but people just cannot argue that he is a long-term successor. |
 | Forum Reply | How would you rate Town managers? at 15:04 19 Feb 2025
I still find it crazy that we've only had 19 managers in our entire history Watford have had 19 managers since 2014, Leeds have had 19 since 2006. Even the likes of AFC Wimbledon have had 10 since they were formed back in 2002 despite all the success |
 | Forum Thread | Away team Autographs at 11:43 15 Jan 2025
Is there anywhere after the game now to go and get autographs for the away team, e.g. where they get on the coach? I recall like 15 years ago you could queue at the back of the Sir Alf stand after the game, but assume that's no longer the case. The reason I ask is that one of my Paraguayan friends is a huge fan of Julio Enciso, and I'd love to be able to get something signed for them |
