Why is the target now on Ashton’s back?
The reason I think things did not work out with Ashton and Cook is because M / A is trying to turn us into a modern day football club which is what we need, with modern staff etc. Paul Cook is an old school manager who wants to take all club responsibilities which he could not under Ashton as he liked to do all the contracts and staff appointments himself.
It was a similar situation and Bristol where he was trying to turn an old school club with old school philosophies into a modern day one which didn’t end well with the board and fans.
However, with our fans we want a modern day club and so do the three lions, so let’s get behind it and stop listening to the media, as what we are trying to do as a club is starting to really make sense. |
