 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 0-4 Arsenal - Match Report at 12:35:25
Embarrassing. I remember sitting in the stand watching us play in League One against teams like Oxford who only turned up to defend away from home to get a draw or a goal on the break against us. The difference now is we were at home, desperate for points, although we set up to for defence against attack, but let four goals in. As for the red card…. Pure stupidity. |

I thanks, chance not taken and has done nothing all season. We must have better possible options we’ve worked on. |
 | News Comment | Cunha Banned For Two Games and Fined For Town Melee at 23:32:42
Outrageous. Absolutely everything about this is just wrong. What an appalling message the FA has just sent out to players, teams, supporters. children. Wolves have completely got away with this and it was the second game on the trot that they didn’t control their players after a match too. |
 | News Comment | Portman Road Plans Reveal Longer Pitch at 21:03:56
Sounds great and I'm certain the extra width of, 1 37/64” will help our flying wingers!! Could have just got a very slightly narrower wheel on the white line machine haha! Seriously, all sounds amazing ðŸ‘🻠|

Whoever we get, if it was their Assistant who had all the technical managerial know how… Can they bring that person too. |
 | News Comment | Keeper Walton Signs on Season-Long Loan at 13:48:58
Feel sorry for Hladky in that he's not had great support from some other players, I also feel Holy could have been given a chance before now, as even without the best defence in front of him, he did keep quite a few clean sheets last season. However, when you look at how many shots on target our opposition have had each game this season, it's usually about the same number as the opposition have scored. Simply not enough shots saved. Look forwards to seeing Walton hopefully with Burgess and Edmondson in front of him after a couple of weeks on the training ground and if we do get Morsey and Celina, we will potentially have a very strong squad. ‘If'we can push on and go up this year, the fact we will have a few loans again isn't a big problem as I'm sure if they are wanted they'd be kept in another overhaul for the Championship. |
 | News Comment | Downes: We Came to an Agreement That I Wanted to Leave at 11:16:08
Unfortunately, whenever I've heard him talk, he doesn't really come across as someone who is good at articulating himself. I'm sure he means no harm and fully understands that if he asked to leave, naturally he's not going to receive the fitness time and effort that would instead be afforded to those that are staying and that at least part of the reason everything was so slow and laboured last year, was because he and the rest of the squad were not only unfit but also lacked ability. |
 | News Comment | Gibbs Leaving Town as Last-Gasp Talks Break Down at 13:55:05
Shame as clearly has a future in the game. However, as it didn't seem the most massive increase was required to keep him, you can only accept that with the salary cap and the fact he's probably not going to be first choice for a year or two, that the club had to make the decision that the players own valuation of his services didn't match their own at this time. The way the whole academy system works is completely wrong, at present in our position you could produce wonder kid after wonder kid and just loose them for peanuts, I wonder if this is why we no longer produce the quality that we have in the past? |
 | News Comment | Waghorn Linked With Town Return at 16:01:25
Really liked him as a player for us, great goals and loads of assists. I'm sure he was not happy when MM left and PH arrived, but I've never noticed anyone I've felt was happier to leave Ipswich, considering we'd help revive his career, I felt that was a bit much, then Garner going also.... I'm sure we'd have stayed in the Championship with them and for those reasons I'd prefer he stayed at that great club Derby that he couldn't leave us quickly enough for. |
 | News Comment | Cook Talks to Blue Action Following Banner Protest Against Owner at 01:23:40
When Evans does go, the first thing to improve is the scouting system, you only have to look at clubs like Peterborough or Brentford to see how important it is. They don't buy expensive, they sell expensive. Experts find the next lower league player that can improve massively over a couple of seasons, then sell on. The academy will only work as it should when it's top tier and the best players aren't taken away by teams with top tier academy's. The amount of money Evans has wasted on silly decisions, he could have employed Peterborough and Brentford's while scouting networks over and over. |
 | News Comment | Gamechanger Lodge New Land Registry Priority Searches at 13:23:26
It appears it was all on, then we hit some good form and some wins, this presumably concerned Evans as we got into play off positions that he could be missing out on more money if we went up. Now, playing poorly as normal, it could all be in again? |
 | News Comment | Owner Evans on Cook, Lambert and Takeover Talk at 19:55:38
The whole takeover talk always stated that Paul Cook is who the other party wanted as manager. Clearly there is something happening, but maybe with him having to move Lambert on (said too much), with us on an upward trajectory and with it being late in the season and close to the top teams again.... Maybe Evans thinks he'd rather wait a while with someone else's choice of Paul, after all if he is a really good manager, wouldn't it be stupid after 13 years to sell at a time , just before we could be worth much more to him. |
 | News Comment | Town Takeover Close at 21:40:38
I'm sure if I were in the Police or Fire dept in any US state, I'd be hoping it's not money from my pension pot being invested..... Although, it's a move which could really boost our US fanbase, with thousands of US public servants become desperate for an ITFC revival!! |
 | News Comment | Wright and Cotter Left Out of 21-Man Senior Squad at 22:41:54
May have been sensible to have kept Cotter in the squad and left KVY out for the second half of the season, as he's not available at present. Assuming he'd still get paid and it wouldn't make any difference to next seasons squad, he could have just concentrated on getting fit. We're not overcrowded with fit RB's. |
 | News Comment | Lambert: I Won’t Have a Player Say They’d Rather Be at Home With the Wife and Kids at 13:20:20
We all know you played for some big clubs and played at the highest level. Unfortunately, what we need is someone capable of managing at a low level. Unless you're planning on coming out of retirement, it makes no difference how good you were as a player. As a manager you need to manage players and a club, you could have learned from some of your own managers, it seems you choose not to, or were unable. |
 | News Comment | Lambert: I Protected Randy Lerner at Villa For a Long Time, I Can't Do That Again at 17:21:08
One breath he's saying he won't be a lamb to the slaughter like he was at Villa protecting Randy Lerner.... In the next he's not blaming Evans. So what is it, is he going to be a lamb to the slaughter to protect someone, or is he going to actually say what he means and what most fans know anyway? We know Evans is a terrible owner, we know Lambert is a poor manager, who has no plan B and is too proud to accept when it's wrong in order to change direction. This interview says nothing, it threatens too but says nothing, it's contradictory and goes off on tangents. Only days ago he couldn't ask for more, just be honest, if you have something interesting to say please say it.... If not please try and work out why a once pretty good bunch of players are being made to look like the dross of League One, while Evans gets in the blower with his many friends in Football who've so far always let him down when telling him which manager to employ |
