Gav - I remember a similar thing to your apple in pastry when I was young although ours was served with custard usually. It was very filling and with hindsight probably an excuse for a smaller main course " To leave enough room to enjoy your pudding" The below recipe seems to be similar although the pastry case was not as good looking! https://www.mybakingaddiction.com/old-fashioned-apple-dumplings/ |

Like you I can't get BBC Suffolk radio signal and for struggle to get to Portman Road so last year I paid for Town TV . Due to the Premier League restrictions Town TV no longer does live TV but it still offers live audio of matches although it does cost £5.99pm with the bonus a video match replays, interviews etc. |

Some politicians Like Edwina Curry and Therese Coffey are kind enough to hint at suitable foostuffs but eggs or any liquid to hand seem the popular choices for the right wing politicians but what to throw at a left winger? Perhaps a Russian Salad , Prawn Sandwich or anything bought from a veggie food bar in Islington. Personally if its food I would rather eat it than throw it! |

The result has to be considered good when you remember that Italy are the 9th best ranked side in the world and Southgates England selections managed to beat them home and away which is a feat that any of the other top football nations would be pleased with. After so many years of failure with England I am happy to have a pragmatic style and considered managerial selection that brings results rather than the previous efforts where managers have been bullied by the press and social media to follow public opinion in their team selection. |

I understand the reason for his support for Palestine, although at present its difficult for any objective person to support him, but they are his views and he is fortunate enough to be in a country where he can express them freely. What I always find surprising is that the general public seems to listen to and often adopt the views of celebrities even when they clash with those of experts. I value greatly the views of Sam on football and would take those views very seriously but for views on the rights and wrongs of Israel/Palestine his views are no more important or likely to be correct than mine or any of those expressed on this forum. I feel exactly the same about those expressed by movie stars, pop stars, pundits etc etc. |
