im being sarcastic man. obviously im not suggesting that lol. Ashton should be pre-empting KMc's decision and reaching out to managers to get a sense of the market |

Phil and others reported he was much closer than we thought at the time (and leaving mid-season would, to us fans, make zero sense). think it shows that while he's committed, other options are attractive and he'll consider them. doubt he'll dismiss Brentford out of hand on that basis, which is worrying... |

definitely a good point wrt Brentford's survival. would be ironic if KMc left for Brentford and went down while we come up with whoever we replace him with |

100% agreed. changing managers before a full pre-season and before any signings is so much better than losing him mid-season. we are also an attractive option to managers given our squad |

wish I had your confidence haha. he was reportedly close to Palace *during the promotion season*, so I think there's a decent chance he wants a new challenge/doesn't mind moving to London/fancies another crack at the PL. |

not sure it's "doomsday speculation". multiple journalists saying he's on the list, and KMc fits the Brentford model and would likely do well there. no harm in thinking about what we'd do if the worst happens... |

With Frank to Spurs all but confirmed, do we think Brentford try to get McKenna? I'd rather we replaced him now than during the season, although it's gonna hurt. Steve Cooper and Gary O’Neil seem like worrying sensible options (especially at this level), but I sort of hope we look abroad. Someone like Domenico Tedesco or Raffaele Palladino, both from Italy. Ashton better be working the phones hard today... [Post edited 10 Jun 9:35]
