 | News Comment | Striker Lee Retires at 20:48:28
As a Suffolk based Rotherham fan I have nothing but the highest regard for Alan Lee. Town never really saw him at his rampant best but he was excellent value for money for the Blues. In a 3 year period for the Millers there were games when he was unplayable. A great guy off the pitch as well. |
 | News Comment | Reo-Coker Set for Whitecaps at 22:25:32
That tells me that the "Reo-Coker linked to West Brom" story was probably made up by his agent in order to sniff out other offers which have not materialised. Biggest waste of space in a town shirt for the last 5 years. So good he has gone into football semi-retirement as no one in this country will touch him with a barge pole for the money he wants. |
 | News Comment | New Boro Date Set at 20:13:18
Clegg will be able to personally "meet & greet" all the fans at some of these games. It won't take him long. |
 | News Comment | Town Announce New Boro Prices at 20:04:33
What happens if you are unable to attend the re-arranged game? Sounds like you get nowt! I still maintain that the clubs/referee fundamentally got the inspection process wrong resulting in a highly likely situation that the game would not finish. The fans are paying for incompetence. |
 | News Comment | Boro to Seek Clarification at 22:38:13
I appreciate that the club state on the back of tickets that after the game has started the cost of a replayed game is half price. My issue is that the game should not have started and the decision making process which led to the game starting was seriously flawed. Nothing to do with the generalisation of an entitlement culture just the amateurish way the clubs/referee handled the whole affair. |
 | News Comment | Town to Issue Statement at 22:29:10
With respect, Hampstead Blue, I just want to be treated with decency by the Club. I, like many others, cannot chuck money around (unlike ITFC, for example, and the wages paid to waster Bullard). Please do not make general statements about people with regards to being whingers and wanting something for nothing - it's insulting. |
 | News Comment | Jewell: Referee Made the Right Decision at 11:18:34
There should be a full, written explanation from the referee and both managers explaining exactly what went off in terms of the decision making process for the game to go ahead. This would stop the rumours/accusations For example, did PJ put pressure on the Ref because Boro were understrength? Not having a go at PJ but there should be some honesty here as probably unfair for the Ref to take all the flack. Game off not Clegg's fault but statements made after match are definitely down to him! |
 | News Comment | Clegg: Town Guided By League Regulations at 11:06:21
Clegg/Evans may come up with a more compassionate offer next week but the damage has been done. Clegg is paid to handle these situations with the media and so far he has handled it appalingly. First reactions/responses tell you a lot. |
 | News Comment | Clegg: Town Guided By League Regulations at 22:26:14
9am Monday morning - Clegg brain inspection. Result - frozen brain cells resulting in the postponement of further action on behalf of a once proud club. |
 | News Comment | Clegg: Town Guided By League Regulations at 21:33:06
It will not be good enough if Clegg comes up with an "alternative" offer in the next week or so. His initial response to the issue speaks volume about the man. He's a pen pusher, no more no less. |
 | News Comment | Clegg: Town Guided By League Regulations at 21:05:17
Blah, blah, blah, blah! Sorry Clegg, not good enough. Don't want to hear your long winded, pompus excuses. Will not be returning to Portman Road for some time. It appears I have two choices: pay more to come to the re-arranged game (if I can make a mid-week game) or not come at all and pay a full price ticket for 37 minutes of football (5 minutes of which saw the Ref faffing about)! Some choice. |
 | News Comment | 50% Off for Rearranged Game at 20:52:24
This is absolutely disgraceful. Clegg should be ashamed and have the gumption to make his own decisions rather than hide behind "regulations". The man is a joke. This is no way to attract fans back. Why should fans pay extra because of a seriously flawed inspection process that allowed the game to start in the first place? The club have lost seriously touch with the fans over the past few years and this is just another example. |
