This is obviously secondary to the result, but it should be noted that the away pub was a miserable shambles. Bizarre to only allows fans into one pub and then only have two people behind the bar acting surprised when 1000 people turn up.
Would be a bonus if they have half decent beers too. My friend flew from Berlin for the game and when he asked if they had any local beer, they looked at him like he was a moron and said “Carling”.
Also not an important point, but makes you feel very unwelcome when every other pub has a big “home fans only” sign up.
It was telling that a policewoman’s told me that they have to shut all shops at the station after a game because fans smash everything up, so we couldn’t buy any water. It’s interesting that this doesn’t seem to happen at Ipswich.
If we hadn’t won, it would’ve been a pretty miserable away experience. Makes you appreciate the Greyhound. I hope the railway tavern is better. [Post edited 15 Dec 2024 10:21]

Hello, I have to bring a rucksack to the game tomorrow as I'm flying from Stansted straight afterwards (delayed my holiday to go to the game). I know the bag policy says you can't bring anything bigger than a "carrier bag", but has anyone had any trouble bringing in a rucksack before?
It's not thaat big but bigger than a carrier bag. My contingency idea is to bring two carrier bags, and fill the contents in each for me and my sister to bring in if they're funny about it!

Hello mate, have you ever tried shockwave therapy? I had achilles problem for two years (twice!) and it fixed me up both times. I just regretted taking so long the second time! It's been the only effective thing for me |

I loved Town in 25 (one of many highlights being the owners having to sit down while everyone chanted “stand up if you’re going up” - obviously gagging to stand up). But just interesting to note that Aluko was the only player a little muted. I wonder if that’s a) because he’s seen it all before b) he knows he’s probably leaving in the summer) c) he’s just a mellow fellow or d) he didn’t play a massive role in the season.
I wonder what it must be like to be in the celebrations when you don’t contribute much. Spose they must all have a bonus which would make them happy? |

… if you can’t go to a game then you Can tell the club and they ‘donate’ the tickets to the Foundation and someone that wouldn’t normally be able to go?
I only mention this as I found out by chance when asking the club to re sell my ticket. Turns out you can’t re sell them.
I live in London so quite happy with this arrangement - gives you a warm fuzzy feeling rather than guilt at not being able to go! |
