The side with unparalleled history in the game Queens Park.

As a five year old in the very early fifties I thought QPR were Queens Park’s reserves!

That is unfair about Anglia, they give us very good coverage. Their segment on the Nunez transfer was brilliant, David Whiteley was almost p**ing himself with laughter while Becky Jago remained stoically neutral as befitting an Ipswich supporter in her youth.

While Anglia news could not help laughing. I knew Becky was a fan but David Whitely’s expression was a delight.

Remember your first time......
at 14:08 4 Aug 2025

The first match I actually remember, having been to Portman Road and Bury Town with little remembrance, was at Kenilworth Road in March 1953 for Luton versus Bolton in the fifth round of the Cup. Syd Owen had Nat Lofhouse totally under control apart from one cross by Bobby Langton. One nil and the match was over. The next match was John Elsworth’s only hat trick the following October against Coventry.

They were binned as John Cobbold sided with Robson. Shame as Baxter was a great player for us but there was no alternative.

Ipswich's oldest ever signing?

I was on a golf holiday in the Algarve, also there was a doctor who spent some time with the Town. When Finidi came up he just shook his head sorrowfully saying that he told the to check his teeth!
