A tally after todays matches, assuming the Hashtag score stays at one nil, the difference is 37 thanks to our eleven today. |

I watched the first half and they were quite impressive, a young midfielder called Wright stood out but there was still the odd calamity at the back. They will knock on the door of the play offs next season. |

When Hunter conceded that penalty and they scored I, apparently, went so white my mate was concerned that I would have a heart attack. Then we started an attack down our left side and I was shouting at Mills to go back but he managed to get a corner. Not any corner THE corner and Warks head did the rest. Turner had time to miss a sitter or was he wasting time. Oh happy days. |

As someone who has witnessed the side from 1950 that is not far from the best in my opinion. I think you have to have Ray Crawford in one of the blanks and either Eric Gates or Clive Woods in the other. Perhaps David Best may just edge out Richard Wright but it is marginal. |

Bill McGarry was a great manager for us, very underrated. I would put him as the second best of the past managers above Ramsey. |

El Miz is now seemingly permanently on the bench for Oxford, dropped by Buckingham and not reinstated by the new manager. He rarely gets a run out now so not looking good for his prospects. |

Throughout the season I have insisted that they will be there or thereabouts. Sometimes it is lovely to be proven wrong. |

All games going their way so far , they will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season. |
 | Forum Reply | What numbers were are Cup Balls in 1978? at 15:09 2 Mar 2025
I seem to remember that we were always in the top half of the draw. After the third round my mate and I at County Hall Chelmsford were confident ( until Hunter handled that ball), so Phil we were no 1 and Arsenal no 2. |

In August 2022, at that time in Division three as old ‘uns call it, I wrote that the new owners seemed to be doing things correctly and my hope was that before I make that last trip to the crematorium that they will have is at least the same level as those down the road. Fast forward now 30 months and not only are we on a par but we have a squad which is much higher in ability. If we go down this year which is probable it will be in a much better position than we went up . The progress has been remarkable and my hopes have been reached. It was always going to be a struggle in the Premier, those that were predicting mid table or better were living in cloud cuckoo land. Should we be relegated and achieve immediate promotion then the groundwork undertaken in such a short time will enable us to fill the weak spots with far better quality and give us more chance to establish ourselves. I am eighty next month and I am certain that when I do take that last drive it will be in better circumstances than it was 30 months ago. Have patience everyone. |
 | Forum Reply | How would you rate Town managers? at 16:27 19 Feb 2025
Robson was a far better manager than Sir Alf. He kept us competitive in the top division for ten years. After the league win Ramsey renewed every contract and signed Bobby Blackwood when higher level incomers were needed with result that the squad when Milburn took over was old and finished. McGarry would be in my top four, what he did quickly and decisively is very underrated. |

That brought back many memories, unfortunately I could not make the Villa owing to a case of bronchitis and pleurisy, was able to get up that day and had Grandstand on, the dog was a bit startled with the noise when the second goal news came over. |

He played in the preseason friendly against Dartford in 2021, looked very useful. Was several players debut, Burns, Haladky, Evan’s etc. |

The way Norwich are now getting results they could easily pass us at the end of the season. Unthinkable but certainly a possibility. |

Enciso played in the last round for Brighton and scored against a Norfolk team so will not be in the team at Coventry. |
