its one thing to back the lad but quite another to describe him as a "tremendous" manager!! please tell me one thing he has done to merit such a description... |
 | News Comment | Keane Considering Deadline Move at 13:56:13
If i was ME, I would weild the axe now. 47 points means we are more or less safe so the remaining games would give curbishley (the obvious choice and lets face it an infinitely better manager than keane) a chance to settle in and decide which players he rates and which areas he needs to strengthen. Keane doesnt offer and hope for the future. we have been lucky to climb away from our flirtation with relegation (murphy being more or less the reason for our upturn in fortune). ME isnt putting money in to accept mediocrity, so he should not wait for Keane to make an inevitably poor start to next season (having brought in yet more dross) before sacking him in november by which time promotion will have been delayed by yet another year! |
 | News Comment | Keane Angry After Defeat at 14:24:06
keane has no clue - imagine how good the lads must feel this morning. will have been pretty tough to wind down after a 90 minute slagging match followed by a further 90 minutes in deadly silence on the coach home!! wouldnt exactly be motivating for training would it. as for spending hours practising kick off's being unbelievable, it is just that - unbelievable |
 | News Comment | Keane Delighted With Murphy and O\'Connor at 13:38:40
people need to accept that keane is not going to lead us back to the promised land but its safer to let him continue to the last game of the season rather than risk changing manager now. Once we are safe, ME should immediately wield the axe in fashionably indecent haste and get curbishley in. |
 | News Comment | Keane Slams Second Half Performance at 09:14:43
every time i read an article on keane he is slagging someone off. Ireland, various ex man utd players who are now managers, he was even publically slagging off some poor lad in the youth team the other day for lacking fitness after glandular fever!!! i dont think this is a sign of a capable manager. as a player he was able to lead by example due to his exceptional quality, you need a bit more than that to lead as a manager... |
 | News Comment | Keane: We Deserved the Win at 14:15:18
dont get me wrong, am very relieved we got a win yesterday which was crucial in keeping us in touch with the rest. the euphoria seen in some of these posts is overdoing it a bit though - the win doesnt change the fact that keane has shown a total lack of imagination in overloaded our squad with old irish and sunderland rejects. not the man to lead us back to the prem... |
 | News Comment | Town Targeting Crystal Palace Striker at 17:35:00
keane has lost it (if he ever had it). i can only presume ME and clegg are waiting for him to walk out to avoid having to pay him off |
 | News Comment | Harte Bid Turned Down at 13:29:55
we will have cascarino leading the line if keane carries this on... |
 | News Comment | Clegg: Nothing Has Changed at 18:37:32
i dont understand the overly pro-keane comments. i would have thought the best opinion would be neutral given what he has done so far. we are approaching the point where keeping keane risks us being relegated. if we lose the next two games (one of which we are highly likely to lose), we are in a world of trouble. i say act now, burley may not be the long term solution but at least he would keep us up this season. relegation would be a disaster and i cant see one single thing that keane has done at either sunderland or here that justifies the risk of keeping faith with him. |
 | News Comment | Keane Goes to Barnsley Still Looking for First Win at 16:17:50
i dont understand all the blind faith in keane. what has he ever done in inspire such blind confidence?? if we dont win tomorrow then keane has to go. simple as that. the man is a loose cannon, completely unsuited to management which he proved at sunderland. using bobby robson as the benchmark because he had a bad start is missing the point - if we continue like this and are in the relegation zone still as xmas approaches we will be in dire trouble. time for ME to weild the axe. |
