Town Women Thrash Cheltenham to Confirm Title and Promotion
at 21:30:15

Great achievement ladies. One of my daughters was a very good player. Different era, today she’d be in anyone’s squad. She’s a teacher now, married with two vibrant sons. No time for playing football, far too busy. Although she is a dedicated Town fan. Always promoted and encouraged women’s football. Great to see it blossom.

McKenna: Challenge Too Big With Ten Men

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but when someone makes comments born out of nothing more than feeble attempts at trying to sound clever, they abuse that privilege and nullify any interest in the content of their posts. Failing miserably at trying to sound clever, exposes themselves to all that spend time reading their regurgitated and repetitive garbage.

Freudian slip perhaps!

McKenna: Humphreys Loan Exactly What We Wanted
at 10:57:53

For me, he’s a good Championship player, playing in division one. Yes he needs to come up to speed with the Championship, he’ll get his opportunities. In my opinion, it won’t take him long to adjust, the quality is already there. In the past, he’s been a little bit lightweight, I believe McKenna loaned him out to division one, due to the high physicality of that league. He’ll come back much stronger.

Mariner 1974 I totally agree with your well put together post, I just hope that those suffering from a severe case of myopia who frequently post ton here, read it and digest it.

Ipswich Town 0-4 Arsenal - Match Report
at 21:59:02

We have reached the point in our season where the separation of real fans from those who have no staying power, and run for cover when real support is needed, show their turncoat faces.
McKenna has achieved more than most managers in the history of football management, and he’s only just started. How short the memories are of the fickle few.
As for the apparent suggestion that we should employ the boring feckless ‘one trick pony’ Sean Dyche as our manager, well all I can say is, watching rain drops race each other down the window pane, would be far more entertaining. Why do you think Everton dispensed of his services!

Town Apply For Retrospective Portman Road Planning Permission

Interesting isn’t it, that the Premier League go to great lengths to make sure that every club knows the rules. However, when it comes to their FFP rules, they seem very inept at upholding them.

Maresca: First Town Goal Changed the Game Completely
at 11:12:57

“against these kinds of teams,”
I think Enzo needs to be reminded that Town had chances to win this game but failed to convert them. Had Hirst scored our 3rd, ( no criticism George, you must be a bit rusty) it was game over for Enzo.
Yes his side had the better of the opening stages, but we weren’t playing well at that time, but still managed to put 2 past his entitled players. We can’t be pleased with the 2 goals we conceded either, unfortunate Tuenzebe scored an og. He was unlucky. Then we failed to close down their scorer who was unmarked on the edge of our box. He had far too much time to pick his spot. As for his veiled criticism of the Chelsea fans…. Well they were behaving just as entitled as he seems to be. Bottom line Enzo, that’s 4 points we’ve taken from your cosseted and entitled boys this season, try finding excuses for that painful statistic.

Great performance. Thought we should have won. Great support. Not such a great report, we are 14 points from safety, and not 17 as this report shows. Still, everyone makes typos.

Hirst: I've Had to Raise My Level to Keep Pushing Liam
at 14:55:05

I think it goes without saying that Delap won’t be with this club next season. George Hirst in my option is a very competent Centre Forward. However, we’ll need to recruit well for the. Championship, and another striker will be essential.

Town Topic: Gamechanger Takeover Four Years On
at 14:44:40

For me, the highlights were the incredible achievements to have gained promotion from division one, and then the following season, promotion from the Championship to the Premier League. That won’t be repeated by any football club anytime soon…. It was simply magnificent.

It was all the more satisfying for me, having come through the dull and ambition-less years of the Evans and McCarthy period.
Anyone who’s feeling too disheartened by our impending relegation, well, just think back to those days, and take account of just how far we’ve come since those dark, lifeless, mundane seasons, dished up by what I believe to have been a destructive ownership and damaging managerial period of this great football club, to a point of total ineptitude.

With the footing upon which this club now stands, those dark days are long gone. Our new American owners, Mark Ashton and Kieran McKenna have, in my opinion, achieved greatness. Long May that continue.

McKenna: More Than Likely Town Will Be in the Championship Next Season
at 08:51:09

There’s many an old ‘dyed in the wool’ dinosaur waiting in the wings eager to inflict his tired and outdated excuse for football upon you, with his only ambition bring to put his sticky fingers on his next big pay-off. McKenna has made some mistakes, but he’s a young enthusiastic, honest, conscientious manager with talent. He’s proven that by winning promotion from division one and consecutive promotion in the Championship to the Premier League. That takes talent. He’s no doubt learnt a lot from failing to keep us in the Premier League.
He hasn’t been lucky, injuries, a fixture list that looked designed for failure, and some very debatable officialdom has hampered him.
I sincerely hope he stays, he’ll get us back, and next time, we’ll stay there.

McKenna: Challenges This Season Not Linked to Playing Style
at 21:25:55

These pundits amuse me at times. Danny Murphy and Tony Cascarino were decent players, but they were firmly on the opposite side of the fence to what McKenna has to be. Neither have earned the right to comment on how a manager should set up his side, nor what tactics they should employ.
I suppose comments such as these pleases their pay masters, but all it proves is that it’s not money well spent.

Sheeran: If You Live Here, Suffolk's the Best Place on the Planet
at 21:41:45

I think those are very honest words from Ed Sheeran. He’s a mega pop star, known world wide, and Suffolk has made him the humble and modest chap he is. That’s what makes him a great ambassador for our beloved club.
I was born and bred in Suffolk, and I can relate to the many things he sees in what I believe is a very special county. Over time nothing stays the same, but Suffolk does have a hold on you, no matter where you go, or what experiences you have in your life, you never forget Suffolk, and you never forget your roots.
As for the chants from some members of the audience ( I’m loath to call them fans), he sums up their total lack of imagination and intellect very well. All those remarks born out of nothing more than childish ignorance and jealously. Very pleased you are a fan Ed, keep the faith.

Hirst's First Scotland Call Confirmed

The bottom line is George Hirst thoroughly deserves it. He’s always conducted himself in a very professional manner, and proven if given the chance, he can score goals at the top level.
