Jewell: Bullard Deal Just Can\'t Be Done

First of all, I'd like to say thanks Jim, we were heading for league 1 before u arrived. Imagine the players we could have been attracting then!! Jim brightened up my season, I was lucky enough to be at the cardiff game. Awesome.

Secondly, why don't we make him an offer in line with our top earner then implement a bonus system for the whole 1st team squad that becomes active on promotion, rewarding players for their specific contributions ( games played, goals, assists, motm, clean sheets etc) that way the team wage is directly related to how valuable the player has been.

Everyone knows the premiership is the goal, we want players who are going to put in everything, not just happy to tread water. This would be excellent motivation. But it would only work if it was activated on promotion, so the players realise it's team first. If we don't play for one another, or play in a selfish way no one get's the bonuses.

Liverpool Make Wickham Bid

Andy Carroll had 1 decent championship season, and half a premiership season and a few goals....35 million. Connor was played out of position for the majority of the games he played last season. Let's show some ambition, keep him, play him in his best position, build a team that can give him decent ball. P.j. has developed many decent players in his time. There's a great deal Connor can learn from playing regular first team at this level, under P.J. that will stand him in good stead for the rest of his career.
