Thanks again to everyone for supporting me on this as it really was the most embarrassing thing I could think of someone in Ipswich doing....hopefully this will take off elsewhere around the country. Have a message from Haiti Football Federation to read out at half time who are just glad football fans are thinking of them. Thanks a million |

Dear Friends, Marcus here, the guy doing The Red Cross Personal Challenge. Thank you so much to TWTD and everyone one here, since you published the article, the fund has nearly doubled...so many thanks for donating and voting. Everyone can still donate and VOTE for either the Norwich or Ipswich shirt on www.justgiving.com/norwichshirt I got in touch with Norwich City to see if someone from Norwich would do the same ie put themselves up for a vote as to which shirt they should wear. I haven't had a reply as yet. I am contacting every league club to see if this can be rolled out nationally, where rival teams could arrange joint events etc. I would be very proud to say we were the first town do such a thing. It may definitely need tweaking etc but we've raised over £400 so far. My intentions are sincere and if the public decide that I have to wear the Norwich shirt then I'm ready for a lot of stick and a few laughs....and a new identity! I do want to try and do this properly and fully respect the views of those who think this not a great idea and could be done better. Please please email at marcusbrien@aol.com with any concerns or ideas, and also thoughts on how this could be quickly rolled out nationally. Anyway a million thanks to everyone for all your support. Must dash off down the Charity shop as some bloke has offered me £50 if I dress as Delia and do the "Let's be 'aving ya" speech. |
