i don't really get what Pim did so wrong, he wins headers, makes tackles, he has a lot to learn but does that merrit us just selling him on? of course he won't be superman i think you could count on your fingers the amount of full 90min games he had before this season, i think for a young and inexperianced player, he tackles heads and passes better than some of our more experianced such as McAuley tbh, the cross field ball to Walters is clearly a high ball to Walters, it does what he means it to do and he's clearly been told to do that, if you noticed he didn't in the west brom game, so i don't see why that has been critisised so much either, but i think a centre back such as nosworthy is still needed to secure things more at the back

Also, someone asked where murphy, leadbitter and edwards would fit into the team because we have walters, martin and priskin and counago played well on tuesday.. in the squad with the others, heaven forbid we may even buy someone better than walters and pablo!!

Alex Bruce 11, i agree with the players you think might go, except i hope trotter doesn't because he's one of our few midfielders i think could really progress. But i fail to see it with garvan, he was started against west brom for that exact reason he steadied the ship as a sub, but he couldn't make a pass or tackle one way or the other and he is so slow! compared to the busy, creative display we saw from the likes of danns and ambrose in the palace midfield when we lost to them i think our whole midfield looks to be lacking
i hope peters is back in soon, his pace and skill is something we lack often in attack and he works harder and fights harder than people twice his size!
i also think we've actually missed norris, he always throws his body on the line and those bursting runs into the area are great.
I agree garvan is a good player and a reasonable playmaker, however, i think we can certainly find better and we could get some good cash off of him to help us do that

remember aswell that sunderland took a while to start winning under Keane, but they did and they won the league, and now look at how well they appear to be doing under steve bruce.. lets not get too upset

I have to say i struggle to see why garvan is so irreplacable, yes he can pass, but almost every game we see several overhit long balls into touch, he has no pace and he doesn't tackle, chase or hassle. He occaisionally scores or makes a good goal, but surely colback looks capable of that? and he chased, hassled and ran fast! garvan has qualities, but he's not going to boss our midfield, i'm sorry, but he isn't, i can see him going easily and i think we need a more potent goal threat with pace and aggression, we don't look like we want to score goals currently!

No one mindlessly applauds so we can't tell if that works, but you're right in that respect. He has had a long time, but pre season never shows how good a team is, its only when they start playing proper games they show what they can really do. I wouldn't say he was razing it to the ground, who has he sold that played often last year? he's probably noticed who jim should have sold last year and now will, my point is what's the point in moaning about him changing a side clearly off the pace before he's even changed it?
also i know we came close to the play offs pointswise, but in terms of quality, we are miles off premiership quality and have been since bent etc left, i think talking about Keane's exit now is ridiculous when he's trying to change a squad we all complained about last year no end, even if its taking more time than we thought it would

I'm so fed up of our "support", every time you go to Portman road all you hear is booing, the odd chant and constant, constant, grumbling.
You look at the prem sides which keep themselves in the division, they ALWAYS thank their fantastic fans SUPPORT through thick and thin.. Hull, Portsmouth etc, this is four games, we still have time for transfers and Keane is DOING SOMETHING... McAuley played far worse at times last season and not only was he never dropped he was made captain, wow, how he led by example.
Bruce played like a captain against Palace and led the team, Keane saw that, i think people should shut up and let him sort out this mess which was created long before he arrived rather than try blaming it on him

a lot of you seem to have very little faith.. i've seen every game so far and had i been in charge i'd very well have told some of them that on those showings they'd be on their way out!
you can't always tell how good your side is until they play so lets do the moaning if Keane still hasn't got it right when the transfer window is shut!
Based on the fact they were taken off so early i would say that stead and garvan must be there or there abouts and mcauley as well, maybe some people we havn't thought of like walters failed to impress
I think he won't let Pim or Trotter go, A) because i think Pim has played well considering how shambolic our defending is i think he has made very few mistakes compared to the others (apart from bruce) and i still think (i know many will disagree) that Trotter has potential to be a very good holding midfielder with the right team around him, he needs games and experiance and B) because they are young enough to develope for another year and i like the way Keane has some faith in our young players (wickham, smith, trotter, peters, pim) so i don't see him selling them

but delany, healy and priskin can go back to you and you can keep the money!!!!!
