Is any recognition of the ladies achievement planned for the final mens game against West Ham at Portman Road There should be a sell out crowd for this game who would warmly applaud the ladies if they were introduced prior to or after the game Who has the power to get this done
Reality check We are now in a league of 4 clubs We must top that league at the end of the season to remain in the Premier league otherwise back to the championship We are in the best football league in the world and in the main holding our own With some draws being wins our points total would be better We have just lost to the league champions who have turned their corner and are by means out of the running but things will come good for the town in the last half of the season I am sure
This is good news BUT there is no news of Amondo Broja Has there been a hiccup in the paperwork Seems very strange that all has gone quiet on that front
So happy at this wonderful team Are we looking at a future THIRD England Manager from this unfashionable team who are showing how to fill stadiums with such attractive attacking football
Watched the whole game live Broadhead and Taylor were not at the races A striker is a must if we are to continue our fantastic journey to the premiere league The two on loan premier league players showed their class and the Fridge was solid In my opinion too many changes made today as the team as a whole did not play as well as the established "First Eleven " who know where their passes are going Naturally disappointed by thr result but all credit to Maidstone as their dream continues with the resultant financial benefits Real "Roy of the ROVERS stuff
I do believe that a lot of the players think they are better than they are because they are 'bigged up' in the press and social media Tthey believe that they only have to turn up to a lower lesser team and a win will be easy They are proved wrong week in week out As has been well documented on these pages this leagueis the worst to get out of and also to stay out of ref Rotherham and Wigan who are finding life in the championship difficult I do not have an answer to the problem besetting Ipswich That is a problem for the manager Sods law says they'll play a blinder against Wednesday next week and this forum will be full of praise Here's hoping
The team should be proud of themselves Two games against Championsship teams in the Cup where we have taken 4 points Even with 8 changes the depth of the squad is plain to see and contrary to a certain overpaid pundit we were not over run by Burnley On the contrary we bossed the first half This was a learning experience for the team and they will be better for it I am sure the replay will be well supported by the manager and staff and a strong team will be put out again I have good feelings about ITFC and I am sure they will be there in May On another note although born in Ipswich hence my allegiance I live not far from Grimsby and was so pleased to see theirr result today remembering Harry the Haddocks visit to Wembley some years ago
See Plymouth lost 5:1 to Grimsby Paul Hursts team I wonder if Plymouth are concentrating on the league as it's quite a heavy defeat to a team a division below Grimsby however are having a reasonable season
Apart from all the negatives one shining light in all of this is the FANTASTIC travelling army of ITFC fans The expense of following the Town all over the the country is substantial and to witness a display like tonight must really test their resolve but come the next away game there they are As an armchair supporter of some 70 years I take my hat off to them and they deserve recognition from all the posters on this site
Just watched the match on tv The players on the field were NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE what a shambles Never mind aspirations to the Championship We'll soon be fighting a relegation battle ABOLUTE SH--E Forgive my language but the question is Where do we go from here ?
So it would appear that this was planned Cook was told that anything less than 3 convincing wins would not be enough and he would have to go leaving Mcgreal already in position to take the job on as an interim measure This is what the cynic in me sees
He keeps saying there are goals in this team We have seen that but we need clean sheets The defence is unable to cope when the pressure comes on Not attractive but a series of 1-0 scores are better than 3-2 or 4-3 to reinforce the clean sheet mentality This goalkeeper is suspect and doesn't have confidence in the guys in front of him I was pleased to see us go 2-0 up but never confident we could stop them scoring as it turned out
Essex Tractor You echo my thoughts This is a topsy turvy league It seems to me that any team that can put a solid run together would walk this As we see all teams are hitting their own potholes and dropping points Up to todays result over the last 5 games as shown on the BBC form table Ipswich would have been 5th equal with Rotherham with 8 points The players have proved that they can perform but if it is a confidence issue or a collective off day surely they can secure a safe position this season
A search was made for some new ingredients and we were told that we had some real quality stuff with which we could bake a pie and win the ultimate prize this was given to our Cook who proceeded to make a right porridge If the ingredients are right do we need to change the cook to make the pie to win the prize
Maybe he didn't play Saturday's team in case they got turned over which would have left him nowhere to go and no excuses to make At least he has left himself some wriggle room
Made my point on previous report Thoroughly peed off with this Cook needs to take a back seat and change his name to George Fred or Jim anything but Paul because that name hasn't been a good one for the Town
