Same as most games this season. We can compete for most of the game but not all. To many silly mistakes all season long. Hopefully we will learn from the experience and accept that some of our players just are not and never will be premier league quality. it was always going to be a big ask to survive with players who were league 1 two seasons ago and so it proved. Still thats 2 years in a row of 3 up and 3 down and the question must be asked is it now a closed shop??? |

Arsenal team payroll 161,096,000 Ipswich payroll 29,996,000 5 and a half times the financial power and it showed. Teams just cannot compete with that sort of money coming up from the lower leagues. Sadly we were not good enough for the Prem but i'm sure all at the club will have learned a lot about what it takes at this level. we have a young team with a lot of promise and the future is bright if we now look at what is required at this level. hopefully we can keep most of these players and come back in 2 seasons time stronger and wiser. No matter what i'm still proud of the players and MY club for what has been achieved in such short time and i am sure we will prosper in the future. COYB.

The real problem is that our recruitment defensively was beyond poor. We were average in the championship last season but were good enough in other areas to get away with it. Lessons must be learned if we are able to rebound in 2 seasons. Our defenders are NOT PL quality or even close to it. |

Sadly we are just not good enough. Defensively we have been a nightmare all season which is no surprise as we were poor last season but were good enough to overcome it in the championship. We need to rethink our recruitment policy as only signing young British players will not make a team of enough quality to survive in the premier league. To survive you start at the back and build a team around not giving away too many soft goals. |

The moaners and people slagging players off here should be ashamed. Sure we got hammered but we wont be the only ones this year and it's part of the journey we are on. We just played the reigning 5 times champions who showed why they are that. Get a life and get behind the team and the club or go support someone else. There will be good days and bad days but just think where we were 2 years ago and be proud of what we have done so far. |
