 | News Comment | Cambridge United 0-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 11:26:17
Good to see PL talking to Flynn with a fatherly arm around him as he left the pitch. No excuses for the head-butt. If there is, hopefully, no FA investigation, then there needs to be some form of internal sanction, a suitable fine going to a local charity, perhaps? Let's just hope that this will be an important episode in the young man's learning process. |
 | News Comment | Ward and Grant Start at Brentford at 14:20:56
I'd give Emmanuel a run of games at right back - he's looked decent in the past and offers more options than Chambo who should be parthering Webster. |
 | News Comment | Ward and Grant Start at Brentford at 14:18:50
Probably not, floridaboy - which adds to the confusion of resigning him which I understood to be initially as cover for today. |
 | News Comment | Ward and Grant Start at Brentford at 14:14:49
No strikers on the bench? Perhaps no cover available with BP/DM injured, rather than a negative tactic. Let's hope for an injury free afternoon and three points - COYB. |
 | News Comment | Town Rebuff Boro Murphy Bid Report at 18:57:15
Smoggies can Foxtrot Oscar - desperate having lost Bamford and Vossen. Full season of Freddie playing off Daryl with Dids just behid? Mouthwatering prospect. He wants to stay - let him. |
 | News Comment | Tabb: Great to Be Second But a Long Way to Go at 09:14:28
Intelligent footballer - this is a great interview which confirms the team spirit which MM and TC have fostered over the last two years - the fact that Tabby refused to try his luck elsewhere epitomises the current feeling at the club, from the owner right down to the occasional attendee, that unity will bring success. I made a 600 mile round trip from Northumberland on Saturday and was delighted both by the result and the way in which we played. |
 | News Comment | McCarthy: Painful Way to Lose at 07:57:50
I'm sure that MM is right about Joniesta - but what a terrific gesture from the boy. He'll go far. |
 | News Comment | McCarthy: We Deserved It Despite Nervy End at 08:59:23
'Bollocksed Badger'! Gotta love MM's post-match comments - have missed these gems over the summer. Super start, boys - now the hard work really begins! |
 | News Comment | Striker Lee Retires at 18:42:39
Alan Lee - GOAL! Great memories of an honest (well, sometimes!) toiler. Good luck in the future, mate. |
 | News Comment | Murphy: Sylvan's Looking Sharp at 09:08:25
Loach; Chambers, Smith, Berra, Mings; Anderson, Tunnicliffe, Wordsworth, Hunt; Taylor, Ebanks-Blake. |
 | News Comment | Mings Spends Christmas Day Feeding Homeless at 09:39:09
I predict a successful future for this boy - a youngster in a privileged position with a social conscience, not to mention the drive to get off his backside and make a positive contribution? Nice one, Tyrone - total respect to you and thanks for bringing a warm glow into my Christmas. |
 | News Comment | Merry Christmas from TWTD at 17:35:10
Merry Christmas, guys - and thanks for all your efforts to keep us up to date with all goings-on at Portman Road - it is, as ever, very much appreciated. |
 | News Comment | Town Confirm Marriott Deal at 08:25:13
I think that Santa may have visited Portman Road a little early - both new contracts are excellent news, both from a football perspective and, perhaps, a financial one too. A positive result at Forest on Saturday would cap one of the best weeks in a long long time. And this Northumbrian exile has bought his ticket for the Watford game - 600 mile round trip - and a positive New Year to look forward to. COYB! |
 | News Comment | Cresswell Signs New Deal at 16:53:39
Had a stressful day but this news has helped alleviate some of it - top effort to all concerned, club and Cressy - onwards and upwards. COYB! |
 | News Comment | Skuse Flattered By Boss's Premier Comments at 09:32:57
Cole Skuse is a family man and clearly has a very happy and fulfilled home life which, in my opinion, makes for a greater chance of success on the football pitch. I mention no names but several former players did not enjoy such privileges, hence their unsettled time on the pitch. He sounds like a genuinely nice, honest and hard-working guy and I wish him every success at Town. |
