Top Finisher Pitman Off to Great Start
at 11:26:48

I'm concerned. The distinct and complete lack of beard and tattoos... I dunno...

Seriously, though, he's a great player. I don't think we'll be short of goals this season with the incredible strike force MM has built. Just need a few goals from midfield and a touch more strength at the back and we're in line for one of our most exciting and (hopefully) successful seasons in far too long

McGoldrick £8m Leicester Target
at 12:57:14

The truth is that Didz created many of the chances and goals he scored last season, without that individual creativity it's difficult to see where (many of) those 16 goals would have come from. If he goes we'll need more than just another striker to replace him, this goes back to the argument that Town are just not playing the exciting and inventive football you need to do well in the Championship, NOT losing is not enough to get you in the play-off zone as we've seen in the last few seasons.

Town Confirm Nouble Signing
at 16:09:30

How do we pronounce his surname, Phil?
Nouble as in noble
Nouble as in double
Nouble as in rouble
Nouble as in Buble (Michael, that is)?

Hutchings: Jewell Still Town Boss
at 23:41:21

Couldn't go tonight as I was working, almost glad! Had to follow the games through goal update texts and I must admit I was just waiting for Derby to score the winner, and sure enough...
Then I get the news that Peterborough had won! As @sexpotsharon would say, "Fewmin'"

Fry: Peterborough Would Do Boyd Loan With View to Permanent Deal
at 23:30:48

Posh bought Boyd for £250k, if they sell him for more than that amount 40% of that total amount has to be passed on to Stevenage, comprende? And moving to Portman Road would represent a pay cut for Boyd, would any of you swap your job for one that pays less?
Having said that, I'm not really sure that Boyd, as good a player as he may be, is a necessity at the moment

Blues Again Linked With Posh Pair

Of all the bizarre and spurious transfer stories this "silly season", this is the one I most want to be true. Boyd on the left would be incredible, finally some creativity not seen since Alan Mahon was here

Jewell Apologises for Worst Defeat in Management
at 21:04:23

Even more embarrassing than the 9-0 (that was Manchester United, this was Peterborough United). Agree with everybody saying we need 2 cb's and 1 rb plus a box to box midfielder. Trouble is premier teams won't let anybody go until last day of the window and anybody good enough to play in the championship is already here. Do we still have scouts checking out the foreign leagues? My only hope is that this is the turning point (but it's a very small hope)

Jewell Struggling for Ways to Explain Defending
at 23:03:53

2 centre backs, a right back AND a box to box midfielder (like Bowyer USED to be, like Norris is) required. Defending tonight was not just embarrassing, it was down right upsetting.
This is going to need Jewell AND Clegg to be on their A game (I have faith in one of them)
Must try harder D-

Trust Hits Out at FA

Ridiculous decision by another ridiculous football ruling body! The FA should be encouraging ALL clubs to take part in this kind of scheme instead of squashing it under their jackbooted heels!

Jewell: Don\'t Underestimate Scotland
at 13:15:12

Will we see two up front tonight? Not sure that lone striker role is his forte, needs someone like Wickham to play off. I like the formation away from home but we need goals and 4-4-2 makes a lot of sense at PR.

Town Fan Among Earthquake Dead
at 13:09:33

My thoughts go out to all Phil's family and friends, and to those of all victims of this terrible disaster.

I would like to see the club acknowledge this loss, but I think a minutes applause might be more appropriate than a minutes silence.

Jewell: If It Had Been a Boxing Match The Ref Would Have Stopped It At Half-Time
at 19:25:23

Moving to a 4-4-2 formation looks to be our best option at the moment, the chances of us picking up a deadly frontman at this stage of the season (and on loan to boot) are slimmer than a supermodel's forefinger! Wickham and Scotland up front with Martin and Drury/Peters/Edwards on the wing seems to make more sense (Scotland lacks the mobility to play one upfront, Wickham lacks the experience and Priskin lacks the killer instinct). It's a system that works as well today as when Sir Bobby played it all those years ago, especially at home!

Jewell: Confidence the Biggest Factor
at 10:34:52

I think both the players and the fans are happier and both have benefited from the stability in the team that PJ has brought to the club. The players know that giving 100% won't get them dropped for the next match, the worry that the chance to express themselves on the pitch (as long as they play as a unit) won't elicit criticism or a long stretch on the bench (as it seemed to under Keane).
Now if we could just get these contracts sorted...

Jewell: Lee\'s Taking His Chance
at 17:26:45

Pleased that Lee has taken his chance and managed to push on, just needs to work on that final ball (which can sometimes be a bit wasteful). Definitely Jewell's type of player and good to see us playing with a bit of width again (just need a decent right back and we're definitely top ten material)

O\'Dea Unsure of Future
at 19:18:50

O'Dea the new Beattie? I hope that was a tongue in cheek comment (it was, wasn't it?)
I never really understood why RK dragged him in, O'Connor, Kennedy and Peters (as well as a fit Civelli) all better in that left back slot, and Delaney and Smith better in the left centre position. We're not a club that really needs that kind of in-depth cover, this is the Championship, not the Champion's League. As for the argument that competition for places brings out the best in players, well just look at the league position and the recent lacklustre performances to disprove that theory.
I hope Darren does well in the future, just can't see it being a future in Suffolk blue.
