Watched him a few times this season and he looks to be well above the level he is playing at. Never sure how quality translates between the leagues, will be interesting to see if anything happens here |
| Forum Thread | Phillips and Clarke should both have had good boosts to their confidence… at 17:24 12 Jan 2025
…thought both were brilliant, and Godfrey defended really well - first impressions of him good. Felt sorry for Ali, worked his nuts off but clearly really low on confidence. Hopefully McKenna making Wolfie captain can put to bed some of the silly rumours that have been circulating |

1st vs 2nd in Isthmian North - should be a cracker, nothing better to do on a school night |
| Forum Thread | Sorry if this has been brought up at 12:50 29 Dec 2024
But there was a point in the Arsenal game where Odegaard (I think) got treatment and didn’t have to leave the pitch. Was there some rule that half the away end missed which meant he didn’t have to go off or was it the ref’s mistake? Ridiculous mistake if so given how many times it happens a game |
| Forum Thread | So on McKenna's third anniversary at the club... at 10:44 16 Dec 2024
when did you realise we were onto something special? I'd love to tell you I knew when we played Gillingham a couple of weeks into his reign, but I was calling for his head after the Bristol Rovers draw so I will say my most recent doubts were thrown away when we beat Bolton away |
| Forum Thread | Getting slightly concerned at 18:54 8 Dec 2024
That we are getting Kompanyd. McKenna’s principles are great and have got us so far, but sometimes you have to sacrifice them to see a game out as opposed to keeping the same formation for the full 90 every week. If he sticks with us for next season then great, we have plenty to work with - if he ends up somewhere else I will be pissed off |
| Forum Thread | Alf Ramsey way yesterday at 12:58 25 Nov 2024
Sorry for moan but haven't seen anything on it - was a nightmare getting into the North Stand yesterday - Alf Ramsey Way was at a complete standstill 20 mins before kick off. No clue what can be done to fix it but not a steward in sight and felt like it could have been dangerous for older/younger supporters, and only takes a couple of impatient idiots for it to become an issue |
| Forum Thread | Wes Burns... at 11:10 4 Nov 2024
Instagram posts gone. Feel quite sorry for him this season, looks a bit of a shell of himself and I think a lot of it is mental - he definitely has something to offer us at this level. |
| Forum Thread | Leif's interview on Saturday at 13:51 28 Oct 2024
Am I the only one that caught the sly dig in Leif's interview on MOTD? Something along the lines of 'if you can't concentrate in training how can you be expected to for 90 minutes on a Saturday' Seems some of the players aren't applying themselves in the way that we have taken for granted over the last couple of seasons |

I'll start - Mike Pollitt, 1 game, win against Norwich then went back to Wigan. Hero |
| Forum Thread | Forest's £750k fine at 14:22 11 Oct 2024
If what Forest said about Attwell being a Luton fan amounts to an "attack on the integrity of a match official on an unparalleled scale" - why are referees not allowed to officiate their own team? And I seem to remember in the L1 promotion season we got an official changed due to them being a Wednesday fan? |
| Forum Thread | Wolf vs O’Shea at 12:37 22 Sep 2024
Without wanting to sling mud like the other thread on this topic, I was wondering what people’s thoughts on this are? I thought Wolf was dropped after what was maybe his best game ever, considering the quality of the opposition, and having put in good performances against 2 of the best 3 teams in the division. I understand we spent a lot of money on O’Shea, but we did the same on Jack Clarke who has not yet started a game so sort of felt he should have been given the chance to play for the place that he has earned and made his own over the last few seasons, as opposed to being dropped on the basis that O’Shea is ‘objectively’ the better player. I know it’s early days with O’Shea, and maybe he is unfortunate because Greaves next to him has taken to his role like a duck to water, but I thought he was poor defensively and on the ball yesterday, and did okay defensively but poor on the ball against Brighton. Having said that, I don’t think we can drop O’Shea now without his confidence being shot to bits and feeling a lot of pressure whenever he comes back into the team so I guess it’s sort of a non-starter. Hopefully it becomes clear what the thinking was soon when O’Shea gets to know the system and puts in some stellar performances, but for me it’s hard to feel like Woolfenden wasn’t hard done by based on what we have seen so far. |
| Forum Thread | Let's call this what it is... at 12:49 16 Jul 2024
A money grab. Trying to sell as many memberships as possible to the detriment of atmosphere and in the face of loyal supporters. How can someone that went to one home game last season get the same priority as someone who went to all 23? The away points system is less unfair but I would still be absolutely fuming if I went to 9 away games last year and effectively ended up with the same chance in the ballot as someone who has never been to one before. That's the price we pay for Premier League football I suppose (pun intended) |
| Forum Thread | I used to read posts on here... at 12:24 2 May 2024
About dislikes people still held as a result of seasons gone by with clubs like Bolton, Sheffield United and West Ham and just couldn't understand it, give I wasn't born for most of the seasons they arose from (and if I was I was too young to understand it!). I get it now - after the last 2 games and my interactions with Hull and Coventry fans (Coventry fans even went as far to applaud us on their way out!), I think I will always have a soft spot for those 2 clubs. Their fans were brilliant. [Post edited 2 May 2024 12:24]
