No doubt he couldn't been any prouder of the players, and couldn't have asked for any more effort. And he's played for some big clubs, and this Crewe side were not far off the Juventus side he faced in 1997 that had Zidane and Del Piero in it blah blah blah. The issue is this is last chance saloon for him. The last 4 teams he's managed, he's done an awful job and if this fails it will be a problem getting another job. Add to that a spineless owner who doesn't want to pay up the remaining 3 years of his contract. It's not a great mix. |
