 | News Comment | Donacien: Ref Said McGuinness Put in Pompey's Controversial Winner at 10:19:28
If Town and Pompey are not in the top two, then wouldn't it be sweet karma to beat them at Wembley in the Play Off final with a dodgy handball penalty. Alas, there will be no fans there...but I'll love it, just love it if we get promoted on a contentious incompetent call. |
 | News Comment | Chambers Confident Town Can Avoid Drop Now Lambert Has Transformed Club at 09:19:05
The average points necessary to avoid the drop is 46. Looking at this season's bottom end it could be as low as 42 to survive. Can we pick up say 30+ points off 28 games? The spirit of that 2nd half v effectively a Premiership outfit in WBA gives me belief we can. Let's get that first elusive home win on Weds v Bristol City COYB |
 | News Comment | Blues Legend Beattie Dies at 10:09:55
In shock, like all of us - not the headline I expected. RIP number 6. What a player we had - so lucky I grew up watching the Beat. A very sad day! |
 | News Comment | Bialkowski Met With Polish Boss at 08:37:46
Poland Poland's 21, Poland's 21!!!! (repeat ad nauseum) Maybe not their number 1, but good enough by far to make their World Cup squad, hope he gets the chance in those friendlies, as he is playing regular first team football at a grade higher than much of Europe's top level's - even the Polish top Ekstraklasa. Hope to see you in Russia Bart. |
 | News Comment | Red-Carded Spence Apologises to Players, Staff and Supporters at 01:36:01
Spence lost it and the game went to pieces, but what the f*** was the lino (3m away) doing as their hitman AK47 smashes Sears into the front row of the stand, clearly taking Freddie out before even approaching the ball. Linesmen that's all they are, supposed to be Assistant Refs (ARs) nowadays - arse is about right! MM had a plan, the lads bought into it and gave it their all to frustrate Fulham and we are on the way to another unlikely good result until Mr Dozy on the line fails to see the blatantly obvious and that injustice is the catalyst for the following mayhem. |
 | News Comment | ITFC Sweden AGM on Saturday at 09:51:35
Two guys I met from Boras while we were travellers in Mongolia 2013. Greetings to Victor and his mate (sorry I forgot your name P?). Hope you are still watching the Town. From Matt in NZ |
 | News Comment | Striker Daniels Joins Lowestoft on Loan at 10:50:44
Growing up in Lowestoft in the 70s early 80s was a great time to be an Ipswich fan - all those sad yellow and green faces at school! Nowadays there are far too many Budgies, but I was very pleased to be in Gorleston(that's Naarich heartland) last month in my ITFC shirt and saw another Ipswich top! Do need to capture the younger fanbase though! Come on Town! |
 | News Comment | Adeyemi Signing Confirmed at 09:12:16
Is he as bright as that ex-Town midfielder and Cambridge Uni lad Steve Palmer? A blast from the past :-) Welcome to Portman Road Tom |
 | News Comment | Smith and Patterson's All Whites Defeated By Mexico at 03:07:29
Was at the Russia game and NZ didn't sow enough, but v Mexico they gave it a brave go and Wood could have won the game for them. All Whites had good chances - one more game v Portugal - can't see NZ getting anything from that TBH. Well done Tommy and young Monty though - what an experience for the young fella. |
 | News Comment | Town Reveal New Home Kit at 07:45:26
Now this is an Ipswich Town shirt!! So glad to see the back of those faded chevron pointy down bits - urrghhh! And I do like the suggestion to have Sir Bobby's name on them. Make it happen to mark 40th anniversary of the Cup triumph!! |
 | News Comment | Lawrence Out of Wales Squad at 08:09:18
I've seen us at many away grounds, but not Shrewsbury's new place, nor Chesterfield's :-( Pull finger not hamstrings, groins or faces!!! |
 | Blog Comment | I've Seen This Happen in Other People's Sides, and Now it's Happening in Mine at 06:42:36
Well-written and thoughtful piece. Have spoken to many Wolves fans in recent years and they, to a man, regret sacking MM when they did. Their club has taken years to recover and is still arguably in strife. Yes MM had alienated a fair few of their fan base at the time but unless you have the right man to take up the reins, a sacking mid-season just leaves a vacuum. Up the Town!! |
 | Blog Comment | Living in a Non-ITFC Society at 09:00:04
Proudly wearing an Ipswich shirt in 2013 in the middle of the Mongolian steppe I arrive at a ger. Two Swedish guys (one typically blonde and tall) are staring at me. Before I can say anything, the tall lad in perfect English almost shouts 'are you from Ipswich?' Patrick(and less so Vic) are two Swedes from Boras who are Ipswich fans and we spent much of the next days blabbering on about the exploits of our one and only beloved Ipswich Town FC!!! That was surreal.....ITFC forever!! |
