muccletonjoe think you have it wrong. MM knows he will find it difficult to get a job definatly not prem and any decent championship team. His time has passed and there are many younger better managers now. As much as he shouts about his skills he knows this is his last decent payday and will hold on for as long as possible.

People make many different comments ," Sack MM " , "play MArriot" etc. This does not mean they don't support Ipswich they just want the best for the team. They maybe right or wrong! But are allowed to their view. I think MM did a great job in keeping us up and performed some miracles in the transfer window he will stabilize the club and give it a good chance of getting in the top 6 given time. On the minus side the last game was the worst game of football I have seen by any team for ages ( I live abroard so don't get to see Ipswich much). Will the fans who pay good money to watch a style that will not change under MM keep going to the games If the last match is what we produce week in week out then I am not sure I would want to pay to watch it no mater what the result was. |

Micks get out clause ran out in the summer. but might have gentlemans agreement with Mr chairman ? He would take the job if offered though as if he didn't want he would declare him self unavailable like some other managers. Just the original clause shows how much he wants job and is ready for it anytime. Martin Oneill can be unpredictable. erm ??? !0-1 at Victor with free £25 match bet. £500 quid if he goes soften the blow a bit. any advice not got great deal of spare cash but considering.

To be fair to Chopra he joined a very poor team and got very little service in the time he was here. Even Van Persie would of struggled! Things were also not right in his Private? life and he does not have the character to fight against problems and help the team. It could of been so different. Mick Mcarthys biggest strength is seeing players character and building a strong group of players. Possibly why chops and maybe jet have gone. |

Good "bog" (mm i dont care about typos unless there good ones) nice points . Buzzard you seem a bit confused. Could they make alterations to improve acustics eg.lip on roof to keep sound in. Could be worth it if it helps us get an extra point a season

Good blog. This attitude in a squad can be infectious. When we signed Jimmy B i could not of been hapier, but I now see it is as the point when Jewell was finished. Dealing with a player like that is exremly dificult, and when he leaves with most of his contract paid it gives off the wrong signals. For many reasons we have had many players just running their contracts down, also not caring.
I was one shouting for longer contracts etc. for a settled squad but imagine if we had given some of these 3 or 4 year contracts.
One advantage we have now through mismanagement (boardroom as well) is that a new manager can come in and by next season most of the squad can be his.
It is important that the new manager has control and plans for the future. I dont believe in 5 year plans (year 3 get promoted!) ,but a manager given time who just does the right things to build a good squad. Idealy we would put the funds into youth to realy create a long term future.
