Agree with Peteswindon.. I can't understand the mercenary comments. If any of us get the opportunities to move jobs/get a promotion.. Wouldn't we all consider the salary offered and what is best for our families before making a choice? Also.. While I think it is sad that CP have proved more attractive, we are not a bigger club, we are pretty much equal in all senses including playing level (average championship team) |

 | News Comment | Jewell Delighted But Not Keen on Comebacks Every Week at 09:47:55
Blueulster - Martin was better (than before he was frozen out) His workrate was good, he looked sharp and very up for it.. still a little lightweight but not afraid to get stuck in. Was an amazing feeling at half time to actually have the feeling that 'you know what.. I think we might win this'... The black cloud has well and truely been lifted! Ps.. I think Paul Jewell recognised the streaker from one of his vids! COYB |
 | News Comment | Jewell: Effort and Commitment There But Players Anxious at 21:48:52
Everyone is moaning about the moaners?!? Just reading through this tread and I can't see many moaners at all and those that are seem a bit tongue in cheek.. Good to see people getting behind the manger but don't panic and jump on peoples back if they make a point about the work Jewell needs to do or the situation we are still in despite the change of manager, it's not moaning it's just realistic... He has got a lot to sort out and I sincerely hope he get the time and backing to achieve it.. Cos Keane left us in a right old state |
 | News Comment | Arsenal Match a Sell-Out at 10:02:17
Oh dear.. So now those supporters that moaned and booed Keane are turning on 'fair weather' fans because Keane has gone and they need something to moan about! Like the one the other day that said he would like us to go to league one so just the 'real' fans would be there. I think these people have self worth issues personally.. Yes it would be great to have a packed Portman Road every week but some people in the town aren't massive supporters and would just like to go along when a team like Arsenal are in town and that would happen at any club. But at least if we get them through the door it will create a better atmosphere, put money into the club and maybe a few might get the bug (or affliction!) and come every week. Now I live in scotland due to work commitments and don't go to as many matches as I would like (mostly away matches in the north of England) and so I suppose my views won't count to some of you as I don't have a season ticket.. But I suggest you put your superior attititude and self importance to one side and concentrate on getting behind the team and creating an atmosphere to be proud of at Portman Road tonight.. Wish I could be there, Scottish football is sh**e! |
 | News Comment | Keane Relaxed on Contract at 16:05:04
Well said BlueBob... It's a shame people have to be so constantly negative about every story on here. I think there is a touch of jealousy amongst a few that Keano has a few bob in the bank. I personally think it proves his love for the game and for a challenge. A few more fans need to get behind the team and the manager. 1 point off the play offs and in the last 8 of the cup show that there is plenty to be optimistic about. COYB. (and yes I do want the best for town and I'm not happy settling for championship football.. But I'm also a realist and appreciate that these things take time and money and there are plenty of teams with a similar budget and setup to ours and also we don't have a god given right to be competing in the PL or at the top of the championship for that matter - Deal with it) |
 | News Comment | Final Chopra Bid? at 12:28:40
Compared to stead being potentially sold at £225k then it does seem that £4M is way over the odds for Chopra. But then if you compare it to the sale of Walters for in the region of £3M then he seems a steal.. (although I think Stoke were daft paying that for Walters anyway!) |
