McKenna: Burns Making Progress, Everyone Else Has Trained
at 16:04:10

Overall great news, Wes nearly back and seems like everyone is good to go. I know Wes has been out a while but hopefully he will be raring to go as well when back to full fitness

Can see it being the same squad that destroyed Sheff Utd last week with the only change maybe being Egali start instead of McAteer as he looked really good when he came on. I would love to see Nunez start too as he looked good on Friday but both Cajuste and Matusiwa were brilliant. Mckenna going to have some tough selection choices this season

Furlong and Akpom Start For Blues
at 19:12:52

Still people moaning about the starting line up. Give the new boys chance, they will start soon. Nunez is just coming back from injury so will need a bit of time to work on fitness (like Cajuste did) and Egeli will be a starter soon too, kids been busy with flying back and forth from the UK for the transfer and the international games, I would be knackered from all that

I am liking this line up and you can see how McKenna plans to shift when people are more up and ready. Good strong team and lots of fire power on the bench COYB

McKenna: I Can See the Thinking Behind Play-Off Expansion Proposal
at 19:14:03

Nah scrap the playoffs, I have been saying it for years its a stupid system. It seems unfair when the team in 6th goes up when they could potentially be 10-20 points behind 3rd place. Should always be top 3 go up bottom 3 go down, or adopt how a lot of European leagues do it where the 2 top and bottom switch and then 3rd bottom and 3rd top play each other to decide

Only time a "playoff" could be done is If a crucial position (such as title, promotion or relegation) has to be decided on anything except points earnt. THEN those 2 teams should play one more time to decide who gets that spot

Looking forward to the new season, its going to be a big step up but I know the ladies are more than ready. I don't think they will get relegated but im predicting 2nd half of the table, probably about 8th/9th then can build from there COYB

Al-Hamadi Set For Luton
at 19:01:17

I'm glad we are keeping hold of Humphreys and also going to give Baggott a chance. I would rather keep Clarke in though over Johnson but I understand McKennas reasoning as Clarke fitness isn't probably where it should be following his injury and surgery over the summer and needs games to build it so probably would be behind Johnson, Furlong and Young based on fitness levels. Plus Johnson can cover both left and right back

U21s Skipper Taylor Set For Cheltenham Loan

Another good loan move for one of our promising academy players. Its great to see that the youngsters showing promise are going to League 2 clubs and above to get some really good experience

Barbrook's Lincoln Loan Confirmed
at 18:47:43

Really good move and best of luck Fin. I can see him replicating the loan move that Humphreys had last season and is definitely going to be in the first team more next season or at least the season after. Great to see there is a recall clause in the January transfer window, means McKenna might already have in mind that he might call him back and use him in the 2nd half of the season

Town and Swans Mfuni 'Approaches Rejected'
at 16:51:55

This is one loan I don't think we need, I would rather keep Baggott instead of loaning him out again considering he's just signed a new contract too. I don't see the point in loaning in a really young player if he's just going to be a bench warmer (probably not even that as Baggott doesn't even make the bench), it's really not going to help his development.

And in relation to an earlier post yes loaned players under 21 do count to the squad limit so it would be a pointless swap and we may as well use our own youth players. Even if Woolfy goes and without Townsend for the season, I believe we have more than enough cover at the back considering you have
RB - Johnson, Furlong, Clarke, Young (O Shea and Kipre can also play here if needed)
CB - O Shea, Greaves, Baggott, Kipre (and I think McKenna said Furlong can play here too)
LB - Davis, Young, Johnson, Furlong (Greaves and Kipre can also play here if needed)

And thats not including the likes of Boniface from the U21 who can play LB

Travis: Cajuste Tackle Totally Accidental
at 16:34:58

Totally accidental my left ****. Even without VAR how he only got away with only a yellow is shocking, oh wait no it's not it's because the ref was s**t. Even the post he wrote was complete BS, probably told to write it by Eustace to make it seem like they cared and were worried

McKenna: Woolfy's Made It Clear He Wants to Go
at 00:23:06

Will be a shame to see Woolfy go but he needs to be playing at his age. With Woolfy going would it not be wise to keep hold of Baggott in case we need the backup? Unless of course another deal is in the works. I know we also have Furlong now who can play center but I thought he would be used more on the fullback positions (especially with Townsend out and Clarke does get loaned out). My thoughts to reduce the squad limit down to 25 are to either loan out or sell AAH and Taylor (would rather keep Humphreys) along with the confirmed attempts to move out Woolfy and Ogbene and then Townsend not getting registered

McKenna: Ogbene Could Move Out On Loan
at 18:39:21

A loan for him seems like a good deal. As McKenna says he had a really bad lengthy injury last season and as great as it has been to see him back, he has still looked a bit rusty (which is completely understandable). Loan to maybe a Scottish Prem, lower Championship or higher League 1 or maybe to one of the clubs we have loaned someone from like Como

Can also see move outs (loan or transfer) for AAH, Taylor (would rather keep Humphreys here) and either Harry Clarke (depending on where he is in recovery) or Johnson which would take squad size down to 26. Then Townsend probably won't get registered this season (or at least till the January window). Not really heard much on Burns recovery either so he may not get registered this window either (unless he is close to return)

Ipswich Town 2-2 Derby County - Match Report
at 17:47:58

Happy that we managed to get the last minute draw, disgusting display from Derby though (seems to be a trend with recent League 1 midlands based teams). You could see things starting to click into place. Got the international break to come now and good amount of time for the team to really get some time together and the bonus of the likes of Egeli, Humphreys, Nunez all coming available after the break. 4 games in September as well for the team to gel more in front of crowds and really start to show what we can do. Just have a little bit of patience and support the boys in blue COYB

Cajuste: I Feel Ready to Start
at 12:23:34

@TimmyH agreed, in the nicest of ways I hope at least after todays match McKenna puts him up for sale (if he aint already). I understood keeping hold of him until we got the midfield numbers in and while Matusiwa got more used to English football and while Jens built fitness, but after today we got a 2 week break then Nunez and Humphreys should be back and even got young Fin we can use (who already is looking better than Taylor)

Cajuste: I Feel Ready to Start
at 10:43:27

Great to hear the Cajuste is ready and raring to go but I wonder if McKenna will have him on the bench today and wait till after the international break before starting him. My thoughts out of the recent signings is that Cajuste (plays about 60 mins) and Furlong start then Azon and Akpom on the bench. Then bring Nunez and Egeli out at half time to introduce them to the fans and maybe have a small kick about

Town Confirm Azón Loan Signing
at 21:01:49

Flykick well said, will probably find at least these two on the bench on Saturday (and maybe Nunez if done in time). Luckily we got the international break to help them settle in away from the crowds and I reckon will take at least most if not all of September for them to truely settle, at least the ones coming from abroad anyway. Welcome Azon happy to get this deal done COYB

Azón Loan Deal Back On
at 18:37:36

NICE the deal is back AzON (i'll see myself out)

Its all action today. If we can get this deal done along with Furlong, Nunez and Egeli I think we will be there. Hopefully one or two by tomorrow in time to maybe be on the bench at Derby. Then two weeks worth of training throughout the international period and then raring to go for Sheff Utd
