A time to celebrate and forget the wasted Evans years. As an old timer I can see a parallel with the 1968 promotion team. We were coming up short at Christmas when the brilliant Bill McGarry went out and bought John O'Rouke and Peter Morris. Now compare Broadhead and Clarke |

Just don't be stupid enough to think anything we get for Bart will be reinvested. This is our saviour Evans PLC we are talking about. The company who pockets millions every year in tax relief by just owning the football club. But we could be Bury remember, and we probably will be if the tax loophole is ever stopped |

Swn, yes I agree with your comparison with Blackpool and Coventry. Like us they had useless, uncaring owners only at the club for what they can get out of it. Much like your God Evans, not a fan, knows nothing about football, but with a PLC board who thought he should buy a football club, any one will do, to promote the Marcus Evans brand. Appoint a big name manager (Keane) to stand in front of the company logo. What can possibly go wrong EVANS OUT |

This is the player Lambert should be building the team around. But a good start to next season will no doubt see Evans PLC cashing in at the first opportunity EVANS OUT |

Karls Dad, that post should be copied and published in the sports pages of the E A D T, The Evening Star and the Eastern Daily Press. That would make the influential people amongst our supporters sit up and take notice. Time Evans PLC was challenged, surely a consortium could be put together, has anyone ever considered the Chinese owners of The Port of Felixstowe to see if they would be interested in the club EVANS OUT AND EVANS OUT NOW |

As someone who actually watched the Town in the old Div 3 I think I am able to comment. Regarding Evans, how many fans will be going to Carrow Road next week and will be waiving £20 notes at the Norwich fans? The tenure of Evans PLC at this club has been nothing short of an unmitigated disaster. How anyone can defend him (them) is beyond me. How many players were signed on a permanent basis in the last window? remind me. For all his fine words his only interest in the club is the tax relief he can earn on our losses and debts. The bare minimum he puts in will be even less in Div 1 so nothing will change. Any player worth anything will be sold as usual and we will still be relying on loans and has beens. anyone who think we are going to walk away with Div 1 next season is living in cloud cuckoo land. EVANS OUT AND EVANS OUT NOW |

Apart from paying wages I see our 'committed' owner has not spent very much in the window. All loans and nothing permanent EVANS OUT |
 | News Comment | Lambert: Time is Pressing On, We Have to Start Winning Games at 21:02:42
The article in yesterdays E A D T had it about right. We should accept the fact that we are going down and start to plan now for next season, treat the time as an extended pre season, bring along the players who we know are still going to be here and phase out the loanees and the ones out of contract. I would give it until after the Norwich game and if we are in no better position start making plans |
 | News Comment | Lambert: Club Needs to Be Rebuilt, Some Players Will Go at 21:00:38
Well said Mr Lambert, now go and back those words up, Tell Evans PLC what you want and who you need and if they don't come up with the goods, walk away. If that happens then you will see where Evans PLC is going and so will the fans |
 | News Comment | Accrington Stanley 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 20:49:30
Just sit back and ask yourselves some questions. WHY did Evans buy the club in the first place? If his aim is just to keep the club afloat by investing the bare minimum WHY? Is he looking to sell the club if not WHY? How much money has been raked in in transfer fees over the last 5 years? How much has been invested? This all has to be down to tax relief for Evans PLC because that is the only reason I can think of for him still owning the club. It sure is not so his son can tell his friends, 'My dad owns a football club' |
