After a season where expectations were so high and Town fell so short, it's little surprise that fans are less than impressed with manager Paul Lambert's performance.

Last year Lambert was given the benefit of the doubt somewhat as the Blues were in a dire position when he took over in October and because of the progress he made in trying to build bridges between supporters and the club.

In this survey last summer 94 per cent of respondents said he was the man to take the Blues forward in League One. However, our comment on this question last year read, "There's no doubt that Lambert's honeymoon period will come to a swift end if results aren't significantly better in League One".

Sadly they weren't and Town ended the season with fans calling for the manager's head. But, having controversially handed Lambert a five-year deal at the start of January, owner Marcus Evans has kept the faith. Whether he'll remain patient if 2020/21 gets off to a slow start time will tell.
