TWTD Questionnaire 2021/22 Q57 How would you rate CEO Mark Ashton's performance during 2021/22
CEO Mark Ashton, who took charge a year ago this week, has impressed fans in what has been a very busy season at Portman Road, from making 19 new signings in the summer, through to changing the manager in December and to the off-field infrastructure work, both in terms of the stadium and staff, which has been ongoing.
Ashton will know it's a big season ahead with the one thing missing from his first campaign having been getting out of League One. Expectations have been high at the start of Town's previous three third tier campaigns and this coming season they're likely to be even higher, not just among fans but also the club's US owners.

You really would have to question why 8 people thought his performance was poor, and wonder what exactly are your expectations of a CEO? | | |

Paulc I agree. I think on any reasonable measure he's done at least a good job. I guess there will always be a few who are unreasonably hard to please. I suppose maybe it's a protest vote at not having achieved a better league position than last year despite spending a lot of money. But Ashton isn't the manager or coach, and he acted with reasonable speed to change the manager when things were not going right, and made what appears to have been a first rate appointment in KMac. | | | You need to login in order to post your comments
