TWTD Questionnaire 2010/11 Q12 Best opposition team of the year ?
Hmm, I'd probably have gone with Arsenal or Chelsea myself, but the way QPR took us apart to burst our early season bubble did show that they were a class apart at this level.
Still don't feel Norwich were the second best side in the division, despite their big victories over us. They deserved the wins but the margin of victory, certainly at Portman Road, flattered them. Swansea's defeat of us a few days later was a much more impressive footballing display and my money's on the Swans finishing highest of the three promoted clubs next season.
While we're talking about the Arsenal and Chelsea games, has any caretaker-manager ever taken control of a club for two more contrasting results than Charlie McParland? At Chelsea as we lost 7-0 Town looked utterly shell-shocked, a few days later against the Gunners they were a completely different team as they won 1-0. Funny game football, eh?
