TWTD Questionnaire 2016/17

Q7 Young player of the 2016/17 season?

Another landslide. Myles Kenlock had a season where he went from being a youngster on the fringes of the first team squad to the verge of becoming a first-team regular. Depending on how pre-season goes the 20-year-old may well start 2017/18 as the first-choice left-back ahead of Jonas Knudsen.

Josh Emmanuel, 19, also made progress in the other full-back role and will be looking to cement a more regular place in the team in the campaign ahead.

Andre Dozzell didn't play as often as he will have hoped in 2016/17 but is still only 18. Next season could be a big one for him.

Similarly Teddy Bishop, who won this section two years ago, needs a big season in 2017/18 after two disappointing injury-hit campaigns.

We restricted this to players under-22 who came through the academy this year, which may have been harsh on Grant Ward and Adam Webster, who would both have picked a up a decent haul of votes.

Next year Tristan Nydam, Monty Patterson, Shane McLoughlin, Michael Crowe, Ben Morris, Flynn Downes, George Fowler and Pat Webber could come into the reckoning having been on the bench without making their debuts during 2016/17, while Adam McDonnell will hope to return to the first team having made his Championship debut on the final day of 2015/16.

Got to question the logic of anyone voting for Teddy after a disappointing season and very few starts *shakes head*
