TWTD Questionnaire 2017/18

Q52 How would you rate caretaker-manager Bryan Klug's performance during his spell in charge?

While unplanned, the end-of-season four-game Bryan Klug era was ultimately the best thing which could have happened to the club as they sought to build bridges with fans following the final fractious days of Mick McCarthy's time as boss.

The temporary appointment of someone so steeped in Town's history going back to the days of Sir Bobby Robson with young coaches as well as young players featuring prominently did much to improve the overall atmosphere among the support with Portman Road having felt like it had a cloud permanently hanging above it for far too long.

Those four matches, even if Town won only one of them, provided a positive end to an otherwise miserable and bad-tempered campaign and lay foundations for incoming permanent boss Paul Hurst.
