SuffPunch added 17:41 - Apr 7 Bluesky added 20:53 - Apr 7 We fizzed for ten minutes then let Wycombe catch up a bit and begin to get a grip on their game. But after an injury break we reset our rhythm and regained control of the game. Wycombe were surprisingly poor really. We played some sparkling football and the goals duly came. Hirst is getting in the right place for crosses more and more. Chaplin seemed to make time stand still as he picked his spot for the second goal; Wycombe defence froze. Second half was a masterclass. Lovely to see Wes on the score sheet again. He'd made a couple of back pass errors early on and had seemed half a yard off the pace to start with but some of that was some slightly misstimed through balls from Clarke. Subs all did well. Ball is rusty but getting a measured return to full power. Very pleased for Freddie popping the penalty away decisively. Morsey and Luongo, in bodybuilding terms, give the team formidable core strength. A good day at the office. Kieran's management is superb.
