I’m not sure where this team goes from now until the end of the season. Not one of them deserves any praise.
I think Cook needs to use the Under 23s from Saturday onwards.

We are truly awful. Agree with the previous post. The season is over just play the youngsters- at least they have something to aspire to!

Hit the woodwork twice. KVY missed a sitter. Cannot defend corners and Holy contrives to give them their third goal. Sickening result

Having drawn against Charlton and known a win was the only option. The first five minutes was promising for the Town. But what followed was a total disaster. Nerves set in and a total lack of football intelligence oozed around the pitch. Passes went astray, no training tactics were evident and definitely no motivation. So the writing was on the wall. Another goal drought and the play offs more remote than finding life on Mars.

So in desperation we bring on two big lumps up front but then, when we get a free kick in their half, we play tippytappy and the ball ends up on the edge of our penalty area! I don't get it. And when did telling players publicly that they're not good enough ever work? Been a supporter for nearly 70yrs and never been more depressed.

Play the youngsters is a stupid remark when they are not physically ready or more importantly good enough could do long lasting damage to a players career. This is one of the problems at the club at the moment we haven't got outstanding youngsters who can come in and make a difference in what is a very poor league.

Another season of disappointment ended last night. We had all known it would happen but it doesn't me it any less painful. The team pattern last night was pathetic - again. The hoped for impact of having a new manager petered out. 2 wins from 12 matches! New owners - will they make any difference? Being the eternal optimist as with most football fans, we look forward now to the closed season with all it's changes to improve our club. Once again, let's hope that does happen. As to last night's match (and quite a few to be honest) was hard to watch with any enthusiasm. The performance from most players was poor to say the least, only Ward seemed to have any drive. Bring on the new season with a new Town.

Linkboy that’s rubbish. They’re under 23 players with experience of pressure. If they can’t step up for 3 games, with plenty to prove to a new manager, then they have chosen the wrong profession.
I’m sick of this mollycoddling of these younger players. Rooney was playing Premiership football at 17 yrs old.
All this ‘lay off Bishop and Dozzell and Downes, they’re learning the game still’.
Get em playing or get em gone.

Positively Portman so which youngsters do you consider good enough to just chuck in then. Most of them are not even ready to go out on loan yet and when they do it's normally non league like young Baggott who is probably our best young prospect. Wayne Rooney was an outstanding prospect and also physically strong we haven't got any one on the same planet as him. You can't just say chuck in the youngsters just because they are youngsters. Im not bothered how many numpties down mark me probably haven't played the game at any level anyway.
